[edit] Ground vehicles
Vehicles used "groundside" are listed here. Also there is one that is about 2x the size of the mako. It has a bigger cannon but is not driveable.
[edit] Mako

The 'Mako' infantry fighting vehicle was designed for the System Alliance's frigates. Through the interior is cramped, an M35 is small enough to be carried in the cargo bay and easily deployed on virtually any world.
With its turreted mass accelerator and coaxially-mounted machine gun, the Mako can provide a fire team with weapon support as well as mobility. Since Alliance marines may be required to fight on any world, the Mako is environmentally-sealed and equipped with microthrusters for use on low-gravity planetoids.
The Mako is powered by a sealed hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell, and includes a small element zero core. While not large enough to nullify the vehicle's mass, the core can reduce it enough to be safely air-dropped. When used in conjunction with the thrusters, it also allows the Mako to extricate itself from difficult terrain.
The Mako can take minor damage from falling. It has two sets of jump jets located next to the first and last set of tires, used for crossing terrain and avoiding attacks such as rockets. The jump jets were first revealed at X06 [1]
NOTE: The Mako is the vehicle you will use to explore for valuable mineral and metal deposits when actually on a planet. The Mako can go almost anywhere, climb almost anything, survive nearly any fall and usually get you out of impassable terrain. Your characters cannot do near so well. There are deposits located in gullies out of which you will be unable to climb. Park the Mako within reentry range of any deposit you wish to survey to avoid being trapped out of it by the terrain.
[edit] Batarian APC
The Batarian APC is a heavily armed transport vehicle equipped with no weapons. Like the Mako and 'traditional' APCs it has six wheels to provide maximum stability. Whilst it's armour is designed to protect it against only sniper fire or landmines it can withstand reasonably large impacts such as impacts with small vehicles. (Only found in the "Bring Down The Sky" Downloadable Pack and Mass Effect: Revelations)

Rovers are small light vehicles designed for manueverability and speed rather than brute force. They generally carry a small amount of infantry and can be mounted with heavy anti-tank weapons. It has been known for Mass Accelerator cannons to have been mounted on them but the vehicle presumably must remain stationary to fire.

[edit] Destiny Ascension

The Destiny Ascension is the flagship of the Citadel Fleet. An asari dreadnought under the command of Matriarch Lidanya, the Ascension's size and weaponry are unmatched. However, the ship is not built for close combat. In the event of an emergency, the Citadel Council is evacuated to the Destiny Ascension for safety.
The Ascension is four times the size of the largest human ship, boasts a crew of nearly 5,000, and is considered to be the most formidable warship in the galaxy.

The SSV Normandy (SR1) is serves as Shepard's main mode of transportation. She is a prototype stealth ship of the Systems Alliance, capable of faster than light travel. Her unique drive core and emission sinks allow to enter star systems and even atmospheres undetected. While the Normandy is silent running, the only way to detect her is by visual acquisition.
The Normandy is about the size of a 747, with a sleek stealth design that combines human and turian engineering. On the inside she resembles a large Navy submarine, with a crew of about 30 and a large bay to store ground vehicles. The Normandy is capable of reliable combat deployment of the M35 Mako when provided with about 150 meters of open terrain. When aboard, Shepard can explore the ship and talk to the crew.
[edit] Sovereign

Sovereign is the flagship of the rogue Spectre Saren. An enormous dreadnought larger than any other ship in any known fleet, Sovereign is crewed with both geth and krogan. At eight kilometers long, its spinal-mounted main gun is likely capable of penetrating another dreadnought's kinetic barriers with a single shot.
The attack on Eden Prime demonstrated Sovereign's ability to generate mass effect fields powerful enough to land on a planetary surface. This implies it has a massive element zero core, and the ability to generate staggering amounts of power.
How Saren acquired this incredible warship is unknown. The prevailing opinion is that Sovereign is a geth construct, while others believe it is a Prothean relic.
(N.B.: Mass Effect: Revelation reveals that Saren used stolen research from Dr. Shu Qian to discover Sovereign and reactivate the ship's systems.)
On Virmire, however, it is revealed that Sovereign is a Reaper.
