The Multiplayer Challenges
Edit
On your sandbox, should the 'first aid medals' silver challenge for Mass Effect 3 really be linked to 'first aid' from Mass Effect? Just seems a bit pointless. Sqarkplugz (talk)
- Hmm, I just copied and pasted from the current MP Challenges page, but you're right. Trandra (talk) 20:57, November 19, 2012 (UTC)
Didn't realise that you'd just copied from the current article. Nevermind, I fixed it there. Sqarkplugz (talk)
/ instead of :
Edit
now that we've had ample time to see how tabview looks like on the weapons pages in hindsight i think i should've suggested that you should've used / instead of : in naming the subpages, like what we have here: Garrus_Vakarian/Unique_dialogue. there's an autogenerated backlink on that page, which we do not have on the weapons subpages. as it stands the current user experience on editing is edit subpage -> remain on subpage without any convenient way to get back to the main article : [[M-55_Argus:ME3MP]].
my fault for not pointing it out sooner, i guess. - Yeah, I noticed that. An admin will have to help or have to actually do it because they are able to delete redirects from renaming pages, or they can suppress the redirect. Trandra (talk) 16:46, November 25, 2012 (UTC)
Power Re-classification
Edit
I've brought this topic up before; there's a short discussion that ended with me on the Tech talk page. What I want to do is re-examine how powers are classified on the wiki, because some of their current designations are silly or are contradicted by in-game statistics. In particular, Ballistic Blades is classified as tech, even though most players are going to automatically classify it as combat. Commdor is behind the idea of using the challenges as a way to unambiguously determine where these powers go. It's a good start, but it's still incomplete because non-damage dealing powers like Sabotage and Stimulant Pack aren't listed.
Thoughts? Lksdjf (talk) 17:24, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
Also, nice manifest you have there. I've been grinding the Typhoon challenge for Gunslinger with a Typhoon at level one. I'm not even going to bother with Earth Mastery; I very much dislike the Typhoon since I had it before it was nerfed. Lksdjf (talk) 18:00, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
- I think we should get someone who can look at the PC files and tell us unambiguously which ones get boosts from Tech power gear and which ones get boosts from Biotic power gear. In my opinion, that's enough to settle it, but the admins have some weird thing against it. This might not work if the gear data is stored on the server like all the weapons after the first MP DLC are.
- And thanks. The Manifest took a loooong time to get. I didn't get the Typhoon until long after it was nerfed, so I still like it. :) And the Destroyer and original Turian Soldier make every gun better for Challenge grinding. Trandra (talk) 19:45, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
Biotic Protector Image Size PowerDetails
Edit
Hi Tandra
Check Out Nyreen Kandros Powers. The Biotic Protector Icon is 38px wide. I think i got the issue. In the template:PowerDetails there are after the ME3 Biotic Protector.png two bracket close "]]" set behind. Therefor the Image-Size cant apply.
I didn't edited it because teamplates are your playground. --MaverikCH (talk) 23:46, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
Just Curious
Edit
I undid the edit because it felt as though Delan was being referred to as asexual, even though we know that hanar have a concept of sex as of Mass Effect 3. I'd like your take on how it might be read. We can view it as Delan's gender being undescribed, and therefore open to interpretation with the pronoun "it", but I think that might be stretching it.Lksdjf (talk) 01:02, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
- I think it's better if we keep one pronoun or another--every other pronoun in the article prior to EzzyD's change was "it" so changing that one made it consistent. I also kind of have a problem with assuming every alien with an undescribed gender is male. Trandra (talk) 06:14, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Codex/Aliens:_Non-Council_Races#Hanar. funnily enough, it's true that on ME3 we got hanar like zymandis being referred to with male pronouns. on ME though i can only recall other characters referring to the preaching hanar (or any other hanar) as "it" (is a big stupid jellyfish).
- maybe we should just refrain from pronoun use when writing about hanar in the future unless other characters refer to them in-universe with whatever pronoun they use? :/ T̴̴͕̲̞̳̖̼̱͒͛̎͒ͫ̃ͧeͩ̈̽̈҉͓̝̰̼̦̫̤̀͠m̫̪̪̯̻͎̫̅̇̓̇͌̚p̸̙̝̓̓͌ͨ͆ͣͥ̂̕o͒̽͐̽͏̞̬̻͕͔͕͚̰͍͠͞ṙ̢̞͚͈̹̰ͨ̓ͭ̈́̌ạ̢̧̪̹̺̺̣̹̲͂͆̏ͪͨ͒ͭř̹͈͜͠y̷͍̻̜̹̼̾̽̈́e̵̹̼̟̦͚͐̈́͌͘d͉̲̣̻͉̱͗̅ḭ̷̻̆͋̆̓̔͝t̨͍̦̫̗͂̅̍̋̆ͩ͝ộ̫̟̬̳̝̲̾ͫ̒̿ͮ̑̚rͯ̎ͨͭ̄̿̽͛҉̠̫̱̠̘̘̲́ͅ7̩̻ͤͩͨ͝͡8̜̣̙͇̻ͨ͛͛̆͒̆̽̒͐͜͡ ͥ̍̉̃̇ͥ̓ͨ͏̕҉̥̹͓̗̤̠̖̤ (talk) 06:34, January 11, 2013 (UTC)

Edit
Is this still going on?--TW6464 (talk) 20:02, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
- No, not officially. For now, working on getting the wiki up-to-date on the new DLC should suffice, if you were looking for something to do. (It appears that you are doing that already.) Trandra (talk) 20:06, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Ballistic Blades and Proximity Mine
Edit
I saw that you removed Ballistic Blades and Proximity Mine from the Tech powers page. The last time that I did that, Lancer reverted my edits incorrectly, because I've always known that they were combat powers. What's the likelihood that we can do the same for Phase Disruptor? Your reasoning seems to have held up with regards to specific power bonuses, unless Lancer stomps back into the page and reverts that too. Lksdjf (talk) 23:21, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Heh, I probably should have removed it with the last update I just did. It isn't a biotic power because it doesn't benefit from biotic power gear or count toward biotic kills, but I could see how it could be argued that since it uses up barriers, it is. I would personally remove it, since it is misleading to leave it there, from a gameplay perspective. Trandra (talk) 23:28, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
- I'll remove it, but it'll only be put back in. Would you care to wager on how long it takes for the reversion to occur? Lksdjf (talk) 23:44, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

Havoc Strike as Tech?
Edit
Have you noticed that Havoc Strike kills give tech kill medals? I feel that this is incontrovertible proof that Havoc Strike is a tech power. I'm going to edit it, with your blessing. Lksdjf (talk) 23:59, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
- I haven't played the Havoc since the first day I got him. I'll take the Havoc for a spin on a Bronze solo tomorrow. Servers went down today while I had 1 minute left on a Gold extraction, and I decided that that was enough for today. -_- Trandra (talk) 00:47, March 5, 2013 (UTC)
- Gotten around to trying it? I know it gives tech medals, but having a newly-christened admin on my side will help my case even more. Lksdjf (talk) 13:03, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, just did it (that tomorrow turned out to be the morning of March 5, which was Citadel DLC release day). 10 kills, bronze medal for tech kills. So definitely considered a tech skill by the game. Trandra (talk) 15:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
User Page
Edit
Hey Trandra. I was just looking at your page and was wondering if you could educate me as to how to do a "Commander Shepard" layout of my very own. Thanks. Hefe (talk) 13:54, March 7, 2013 (UTC)
- I think the easiest way to do it is if you just click the "edit" button on my user page and copy and paste it into your own. Then "Ctrl-F" for the parts you want to change (i.e. "Background" or "Armament" -- with no quote marks) and it'll find the table row.
- I'm not sure how familiar you are with wiki tables, but the pipe | designates a new column, and a pipe and hyphen |- designates a new row. So if you're not sure what you can delete, just look at individual rows, which are between the |- symbols.
- Make sure to "preview" as you edit to find out what does what and so you don't clog up the Recent Changes page. Let me know if you get stuck on something. Trandra (talk) 15:10, March 7, 2013 (UTC)

ME: Infiltrator picture
Edit
Hi again, as I said i will try to improve the ME:I content. I just acquire a tablet galaxy and ME:I and I'm then able to take quality screenshot for the article. I will then take screenshot for :
- Character page (volus and inali as alies and turian as protagonist)
- mission page (all mission + bonus mission)
- Ennemies (all ennemies of the game in good quality)
- Equipment/Abilities
- Mechanism of the game (morale choice, credits, intel points,...)
My point is that with my english level (bad spelling and grammar) and my low knowledge of wikia editions tools i will need help to introduce those picture in the right form and place. So I have some questions :
- Is talk page a good place to stock these image before insertion in article ? (easier than on a sand box because there is a lot of page who are concerned)
- Can you (or do you know somebody capable) of creating a template for ennemies (such as for classic ME games ?) ?
- Can ME:I content added to classic article ? (such as morale choice mechanism, ennemies pages like cerberus troopers who are also present in ME3, mission track,...)
Thank you for your help and don't hesitate to ask question if I was unclear for some points. Any other input (from anybody) is more than welcome. --DeldiRe 14:32, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
One last question because i can't find the right information. How do I start my own sandbox pages ? TY--DeldiRe 14:50, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
- Answers/advice as I see the questions:
- When you take the screenshots and crop them, please save them as PNG files so as not to introduce artifacts (from JPG compression). If you want to just take screenshots and upload them in a zip file to a temporary file service to allow someone else to crop them, that is also fine.
- A talk page is NOT a good place to put them, as it usually messes up the formatting. I (and probably Temporaryeditor78, since it's his thing) can keep track of your uploads and help you insert them into the appropriate pages.
- I can create a template, it just takes some (unpaid) time.
- Please do not add the pictures to the regular adversary articles--there will either be disambiguation messages or trivia notes to indicate the similar names/enemies.
- To create a sandbox page, you just create a new page under your own name. After clicking that link, you would name it with your username in front, like the following examples:
User:DeldiRe/Sandbox User:DeldiRe/Sandbox/Screenshots User:DeldiRe/Sandbox/Mass Effect: Infiltrator
- Everything that has your username in front of it is considered your userspace. However, you don't need to put the images in a sandbox, as you can see the files you've uploaded by clicking here.
- I think that covers everything you've asked about so far. Feel free to ask more questions. Trandra (talk) 17:05, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for those answers, I think that it cover everything I ask, I will come back if I have further questions.
I will be glad if you and TE78 can upload and help me to add them in a proper maneer. For the ennemy template for ME:I take your time to do it and I will start to upload screenshot of ennemies when it will be done. (a similar template is also needed for ME:G ennemies if you have extra free time, Some image have already been uploaded to help you such as life and shield bar)
And last but not least, do not hesitate to read my page back in order to check the spelling and the grammar
Thanks,--DeldiRe 17:25, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for the help, good team work ;) Tomorrow evenig (European time) I start uploading the picture but I think I will need help to crop them.--DeldiRe 18:47, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
- Can you save them in a zip file and then upload them to a temp file service (just Google for one), then give me the URL? I can do the cropping. Trandra (talk) 18:54, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
I started the cropping myself (see. Ice Giant ). Are you okay with the quality or do I send you my screenshots ?--DeldiRe 11:03, March 26, 2013 (UTC)
- It's good. I don't think it's going to get any higher-res than that since it's a phone/tablet game. Trandra (talk) 17:49, March 26, 2013 (UTC)
- Good work on the equipment page. For the adversaries, I saw that you are working on the template and I enjoy the result :). I started to take screenshot of ennemies but it is not so easy :
- Maniability of the tablet is a ****
- Ennemies are highlighted when you are too close from them so I have to throw a biotic power in order to remove the highlight and then take a screenshot in less than 2 seconds.
- Nevertheless I'm still working on it, do start the upload on the page without the ennemies template or do I wait to do everything at the same time?--DeldiRe 09:38, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
- The template is going to take a while because it has to go through a project proposal. If you have good, cropped pictures of enemies, then go ahead and put them on the proper pages. Trandra (talk) 09:42, March 28, 2013 (UTC)

- Not a problem. I haven't even gotten around to incorporating the cover article into the combat articles (from your topic above) because I'm trying to figure out a good way to do so. Trandra (talk) 19:18, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, advice needed. I'm still working on the Relays List. One of the things I'm noting is which system each relay is in. For ME1, this is more difficult as the relays themselves don't show up in the systems. Plus, when you go to a new cluster, you don't directly to a gateway system; you go to the cluster map. So, unless the lore or subsequent games says which system it's in, I've been putting "Unknown" in the "System" field. However, what about clusters where we only see one system (like the Pangaea Expanse and and Sentry Omega). Do you think it's okay to assume that the single system is the gateway system (i.e., Refugee is the location of the Pangaea Expanse's relay and Hoc has Sentry Omega's relay)? Thanks. TheUnknown285 (talk) 17:55, March 27, 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think we can assume that. We already know that DLC can add navigable clusters to a system. The cases you mentioned only show a single cluster for gameplay reasons—they didn't want you dilly-dallying while Virmire and Ilos were in need of saving.
- You should probably get Commdor's opinion on this too, since he is probably more of an expert on the lore than I. Trandra (talk) 18:11, March 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm inclined to agree with you on both points. TheUnknown285 (talk) 18:46, March 27, 2013 (UTC)
In reply to your warning
Edit
Yes I know this. The edit "war" between us has already stopped and we are discussing this on his talk page. Sorry for the trouble.--Codeyy (talk) 14:06, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
Also, the reason I removed the Soldier and Vanguard bits is due to it being more obvious than the other 2 names put down. Since my bit about Shepard being capable of using the Widow and the Claymore in ME2 due to his/her cybernetics was irrelevant and obvious, wouldn't having Shepard there be as well? Especially since unlike the other 2 names in the trivia, he/she actually has a reason as to why they can use the Claymore and Widow. --Codeyy (talk) 14:12, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
- You seemed like you were dismissing his warning, so I thought I would remind you.
- I agree, and have agreed on the Talk:M-300 Claymore talk page. I'll just remove it, since that's 3 users that agree. Trandra (talk) 18:19, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
Picture upload problem
Edit
Hi,
I have a problem with the uploading of my images, the wiki says : "File type verification". I never had the problem ... And the picture is png. ideas ?--DeldiRe 21:53, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not really sure what all the upload errors are. Sometimes Wikia just has some hiccups.
- Have you tried uploading under another file name? I've had errors that come up because a previous file with the same name was deleted. Trandra (talk) 22:07, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
- I have a lot of images to upload, I will try again. Most of them are a picture for power/abilities. We could also use them for the ennemies template box. (for example, Inali uses "Salvo" and "Cloack"). But as I'm writing, I think that only Inali have such power (Ogre mech have similar attack animation but we cannot compare those two attack types).--DeldiRe 22:15, March 28, 2013 (UTC)

MEI enemy grouping.
Edit
Hi Trandra! It seems that you and DeldiRe are making good progress at updating the MEI sections of the wiki. I quite like the proposed template (although the picture seems disproportionately big when compared to trilogy templates, IMHO.) and hope you might get around to Galaxy adversary template sometime.
I do have questions about the grouping of some enemies, though. Given that two enemies of MEI share names with their ME3 counterparts (Assault Trooper and Centurion to be precise.), I believe it makes sense to follow the established policy and put them in a subsection of the existing article, underneath the ME3 section since apparently MEI occurs after the ME3 prologue. The new article for the MEI version would probably be superfluous, IMHO. I would like to hear your opinion on this, though. :) 4Ferelden (talk) 01:37, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, the overlapping enemies are Assault Trooper, Centurion, Geth Trooper, Geth Juggernaut. Needs some community input.
- The images are the same width as existing templates. I just made them a little bit smaller, though.
- I need a little more information before doing the ME:G infobox.
- Do enemies all have shields and health? Do some have just health? Do any have armor or barriers or any combination of the four? From what you uploaded, it seems like there are only two, but I want to know I need to put a parser function in to show only the health bar or only the shield bar sometimes.
- Are there any special abilities/powers that need to be noted?
- Otherwise, I just have to change some colors around. Trandra (talk) 02:09, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
- Good debate to discuss on the forum page of Trandra, so we can have all arguments and vision in the same spot. --DeldiRe 13:30, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
So...
Edit
Regret being an admin yet? The things we have to put up with...
And do you know what the vandal was referring to when he said the admins were acting out of line or something? RC doesn't indicate anything out of the ordinary until this guy showed up again out of the blue an hour ago (I believe this is the same vandal who has attacked us on at least two other occasions in the same way in the past few months). I'm wondering if you have a clue about what set him off this time. -- Commdor (Talk) 05:22, March 31, 2013 (UTC)
- Haha. I was starting to groan internally each new time I saw the little "You have new messages" pop-up. I don't have a clue about what set it off. I guess it's a blocked user coming back for revenge because they were bored, but I agree that there wasn't anything out of the ordinary until the vandalism started.
- Could be because it was Lancer's first edit today since March 21. Poor guy gets quite a lot heaped on him. Trandra (talk) 05:31, March 31, 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, he does. The most visible face of the administration is always the one that people throw their punches at.
Guess we'll just have to keep blocking this guy as he appears, like a super-slow game of whack-a-mole. I'll notify VSTF to keep an eye out for the night in case he makes a return. -- Commdor (Talk) 05:36, March 31, 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, he does. The most visible face of the administration is always the one that people throw their punches at.
That would be an accurate statement. Either way, I needed a break because of the amount of school work that I've been dealing with, in addition to other things. I've also been working on transfer applications and other things. I HATE paperwork. Why do colleges and government love it? Lancer1289 (talk) 18:05, March 31, 2013 (UTC)
PC Gaming Wiki
Edit
Hi Trandra,
I'm a moderator at http://www.pcgamingwiki.com - we aim to provide tweaks and fixes for PC Games such as the Mass Effect series.
We already have substantial pages on all three games: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Mass_Effect etc.
However, I noticed your impressive Mass Effect 1/2/3 PC Tweaks pages and we could always do with some help in improving our pages and making the PC Gaming experience better for everyone.
I have used this site much in the past and recognise the quality of the editing work done by many of your volunteers. Perhaps some of your userbase would be interested in helping us improve our Mass Effect pages, updating them with important bugs and fixes etc.
I don't know if its possible for you to post an announcement about this - I don't want to sound like I'm spewing an advertisement at you, its just it'd be really nice if our Mass Effect pages were as comprehensive as possible.
Thanks,
Tom Fletcher

Dr. Chloe's crush on Garrus
Edit
Hi,
I'm not entirely sure the etiquette here for this kind of thing. It's about the dialogue that indicates that Dr. Michel has a crush on Garrus based on her giving him turian chocolate.
You reverted it noting that not everyone who played the game would be aware of this, but outside of Tali dying in the ME2 suicide mission, I'm not sure how they wouldn't be aware of it - assuming they know about the turian chocolate at all. My reasons:
1) If you're even aware that Garrus has turian chocolate from Dr. Michel, you have brought him along on the mission. This is something no-one who didn't take Garrus along on this mission would know, so maybe removing any mention of Dr. Michel giving him turian chocolate is more correct?
2) You are forced to take Tali along on this mission, and if Garrus is there, his mention of Chole giving him chocolate provokes a reaction from Tali whether you're a friend or a RI of Garrus (a laugh and, "Oh, nothing" in the first case, a "Watch out, Shepard" if you're an RI).
Anyway, my point being - if a player is told that Dr. Chole Michel gave Garrus turian chocolate in the article, Tali is a forced participant of this conversation unless she died in the suicide mission, so anyone who knew that he had the chocolate would be aware of Tali's reaction. Maybe removing any mention of the chocolate in the article is more appropriate than removing Tali's reaction, as all that is required to include Tali's reaction in any other scenario is saying "If Tali survived the suicide mission, her reaction to Dr. Michel's gift..." etc. that I added and you reverted. 24.207.65.88 07:45, May 10, 2013 (UTC)
- Ugh, and then after posting that I noticed that you didn't just revert my edit, but the edit I added to that mentioned the chocolate in the first place. Sorry. Disregard. 24.207.65.88 07:48, May 10, 2013 (UTC)
I only removed the bit about Tali's dialogue, which didn't have much relevance on Dr. Michel's page. The chocolate is still relevant. Seems everything is fine, though. Trandra (talk) 08:22, May 10, 2013 (UTC)

Them gate thangs
Edit
FWIW I was following (per perhaps bedazzled by) Eric Fagnan's title line ("Health and Shield Gates") for the post that described them. But you're right he then goes on to use them uncapped. For some reason it bothers me less to see it fully uncapped in his usage (e.g. "shield gate") than the half-capped thing that we had (e.g. "Shield gate") which looks more like a sloppy capjob. Anyway no biggie, just wanted to let you know where I had been coming from. Cattlesquat (talk) 14:25, May 29, 2013 (UTC)
- The first word is capitalized in the page name because Wikia treats everything that is not the first character case-sensitively. shield gate works as a link as it is now, but if both words were capitalized, it would not. It also prevents people from using shield gate as a proper noun, because Shield Gate will get red-linked (which you can see in preview mode). Trandra (talk) 18:28, May 29, 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, cool, thanks. Wikia knowledge...slowly...increasing... Cattlesquat (talk) 19:59, May 29, 2013 (UTC)

Question
Edit
Hello. I was directed here by someone at wikia community support. I was wondering if it was at all possible to change the name of the character associated here:[1] as well as here [2] and here [3] as my name is Aaron Sommers and even if you can change the spelling a little it would help as this shows up in all search results. I know there's nothing warranted to remove the name entirely but if you could at least change the spelling and make a concession in this case it would be appreciated. Thanks! 76.119.85.241 00:11, May 31, 2013 (UTC)
- In the tongue of my ancestors, "Dis gun b gud." Lksdjf (talk) 00:14, May 31, 2013 (UTC)
- But in all seriousness, we can't just make up things if we're going to be an informative site. James Vega, Ashley Williams, and Gabriella Daniels are all names that have more gaming hits than yours. In fact, the name "Aaron Sommers" only comes up with three Mass Effect hits on the first results from Google. Lksdjf (talk) 00:47, May 31, 2013 (UTC)
To the IP user named Aaron Sommers: the time to appeal to Bioware's naming of a character is before the game comes out. That is to say, it's too late now. Your only recourse is search engine optimization to make your wanted result show up earlier.
I'm also not in control of anything at the IGN wiki or Game Pressure guide, so I definitely can't help you there. Trandra (talk) 04:57, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

- Not a problem; thanks for keeping your cool. Trandra (talk) 04:57, May 31, 2013 (UTC)
Whoa, out of curiosity, what happened?
Edit
I was watching the drama (albeit with a bit of schadenfreude delight) unfold of "A Wikia Contributor" (82.207.68.142) leaving vitriol on people's pages, and now it's like none of that happened. No revert histories, I have to explicitly go to the Special:Contributions page to find any evidence of 82.207.68.142. Is there some admin tool that has a nuclear option like that? Just curious. A few questions
Edit
Hello, I have some questions for you regarding character quotes. What type of characters would you say deserves quotes, characters who appear in the games and are appear in some capacity during the story e.g. Admiral Raan, and also characters who appear in multiple games but in a smaller role, e.g. Conrad Verner, Barla Von. Should characters also have quotes in all sub-section's of their page such as Garrus having a quote in his Citadel DLC section. Anyway that's all my questions. --Hellfire101 (talk) 05:46, June 2, 2013 (UTC)
- Trandra may correct me if I'm wrong but I believe only main characters such as squadmates and villains get headquotes in every section, although characters in several media, such as Kahlee and Aria should also qualify for this. Other important characters like allies, recurring characters and main characters solely from books and comics get headquotes on their pages. Minor characters don't get quotes at all as far as I am aware. Garhdo (talk) 11:31, June 2, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, the MoS section about headquotes should answer most of your questions. Garrus gets headquotes at the top of the page, in the ME2 section, in his Loyalty Mission and Romance subsections, in the ME3 section, and in the Romance subsection. He would not get another one for ME3:Citadel. Admiral Raan probably deserves one, since she is Shepard's quarian contact aboard the Normandy during the Rannoch missions. Conrad probably has them because of the exception at the very bottom about "current headquotes," though I think he doesn't qualify as a major character.
- Notably, the books and comics do not qualify for headquote status (though the Shadow Broker has one for Redemption, adding to the confusion). Trandra (talk) 15:49, June 2, 2013 (UTC)
MEG Enemy Box
Edit
Hi Trandra,
I come to you to speak about MEG, should we start the project for the enemye pages with a new template ? It could be usefull to begin with. I'm already working on the main page.--DeldiRe 08:28, June 11, 2013 (UTC)
- I've watched some MEG stuff on Youtube and am now seriously doubting if we even need enemy infoboxes. The enemies just aren't differentiated enough that an infobox would be necessary. Trandra (talk) 12:05, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
- Sure that enemies are quite similar in their shape. However there is some differences such as for the turret, jath amon, ... I'd also really like to have a infobox/template for the consistency with others games. However we can make it more simple to avoid useless work. --DeldiRe 13:57, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/File:BowModalOne-1.png
I've apparently uploaded three copies of the file. I'm going to upload one with a better name - can you delete all three? I'll do it after my final today. Lksdjf (talk) 10:26, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, just delete everything that I uploaded. I noticed that the icons lifted from the BioWare site lack the roughly trapezoidal border that the icons on the wiki have that allow them to stand out on the page. Do you know how to make them? Lksdjf (talk) 10:42, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
- The N7HQ has coding that puts the icon onto a properly-sized background border, so that for 2 different sizes, active and inactive status, and X number of powers they don't have to upload 4X icons, but X + 4 icons. You can either do it the way they did (by testing it out in your own wikia.css file and a Sandbox page), or do it manually by pasting the background image into each icon. The URL for the background is in the code below, just put in http://social.bioware.com before it.
- Here's the code for both the blank and filled large sized icon, if you understand CSS:
.poweritem
{
width: 160px;
float:left;
text-align:center;
margin: 107px 0 0 0;
font-size: 14px;
background:url(/cdn/social/n7hq/resources/images/inactivepower2.png) no-repeat 50% 0;
}
.statstree .poweractive
{
background:url(/cdn/social/n7hq/resources/images/activepower2.png) no-repeat 50% 0;
}
- I would recommend the manual way because Wikia is much better at image re-sizing. Trandra (talk) 12:05, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
I don't really know much about coding, to be honest (I study bio). I'll give it a try, though. Lksdjf (talk) 22:25, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
- Sure. It's always fun to learn something new. I can work on it when I've got more time--I think it'd be better if we did a .poweractive and .powerinactive, but put the borders in manually. Trandra (talk) 16:50, June 15, 2013 (UTC)
Trailer page
Edit
Hi Trandra,
It's me (once more), I'd like to have your advice on the trailer project before working it further, could you have a look please, espcially about what TE78 said ? -> Forum:Trailers page, see link to my sandbox--DeldiRe 18:47, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
You may want to have a word with Thelee
Edit
Seems he intentionally added false information to the Arc Grenade page in a sad attempt to rile people who disagree with his edits.
- He is not, he made a lot of great additions to the wiki related to game mechanics. If you do not agree with him on a point just bring it to the talk page --DeldiRe 13:49, June 15, 2013 (UTC)
- I feel where you're coming from DeldiRe, but in this case he admitted doing it on the talk page of the Arc Grenade article. Obviously he was frustrated with a vandal who appears to be "awfully familiar with this wikis and its policies". But willfully adding false information undermines credibility for the wiki and also for those of us who'd prefer a more open environment for information. Since he has already pledged not to do it, hopefully a formal warning not to do it again will be enough, but I'm just a grunt around here so that's just my 2 cents. I've dealt with this situation and I did not issue a ban, but it was hard to do so. Lancer1289 (talk) 14:59, June 15, 2013 (UTC)
- That was seriously egregious behaviour, but I think you did the right thing, Lancer. Trandra (talk) 16:50, June 15, 2013 (UTC)
Skal!
Edit
Thank you for taking the time out to answer me! I figured it hadn't been done through the horrible horrible theme designer provided to us by Wikia. That code should be helpful, though, and I'll start experimenting with it on my designer wiki. Thanks again. GarouxBloodline
Trandra - could you please confirm
Edit
Trandra - I know you are away but could you please check the discussion here Forum:Trailers_page#Discussion. It appeared to me and DeldiRe that you gave him permission and encouragement to upload some official trailer videos on a trial basis pending a project vote (and also mentioned that official videos are apparently allowed under the existing policy anyway). Could you please check in and confirm your involvement in that? Cattlesquat (talk) 21:38, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
