Well, I don't know about you guys but when I first saw the leaked info for Rebellion and glanced at the magic word 'Phoenix', I could hardly contain my excitement. Finally, I would be able to play as a Javik-esque character, with Dark Channel as a power and maybe some awesome weapons - I was, of course, referring to the similarity of the 'From Ashes' title of the DLC relating to the Protheans to the 'Phoenix' title of the new race (Phoenixes, when reborn, rise from the ashes where they died). So imagine my anguish when after weeks of discussion in the Bioware forums, where Mr Chris Priestly neither denied or confirmed any of the leak, I discovered that they, the 'Phoenixes', were just in fact Ex-Cerberus Soldiers. To me, this comes across as basically just re-worked humans (though how they will play out as Adepts and Vanguards I do not know, so my hope is not lost yet) who would join the fight alongside Quarian Infiltrators and Engineers (again? did someone forget to remind them about their original inclusion at the beginning?) and the Vorcha. Don't get me wrong, I am super psyched to play as Vorcha - my only hope is that for heavy melee, they jump on people and savage them. However, I would far preferred not to have humans and Quarians all over again. This is, of course, presuming that the Ex-Cerberus adept isn't a Phantom... Thoughts for multiplayer races? Like to play as Blasto, the Hanar Infiltrator? Leave any ideas, both serious and comical, here for discussion/ridicule. SanjayBeast 21:39, May 27, 2012 (UTC)
