On October 4, 2005 BioWare announced Mass Effect, calling it an "incredible next-gen gaming odyssey". Two years later, on November 20, 2007, BioWare finally released the highly anticipated game. Its release marked the start of a trilogy which GamesRadar called a "high-water mark for video games as a story-telling medium". Last month, five years later, the final game in the trilogy was released, Mass Effect 3.

With over 2500 votes, the community of the Mass Effect Wiki has massively voted on their favorite love interest on the Love Interest Top 10 List. There are some clear winners and losers, and we've listed them all below!
The clear winner is Garrus with over 850 votes, 250 votes ahead of Kaidan Alenko. Even though he had a bad start, the Garrus fanbase quickly united to make sure he dominated the top position on the list.
Morinth was the clear loser with just 12 votes, putting her 3 votes below Jacob Taylor. I think this has something to do with her killing Shepard during their most intimate moment, but that might just be me.

The Mass Effect universe is one of the best of its kind. Hundreds of species, ships and locations are what makes the world of Mass Effect so immersive.
But of all the things I love about the Mass Effect universe, the characters are on the very top of my list. When I had to choose between Ashley and Kaidan on Virmire, I just couldn't make up my mind. When I managed to save my entire squad after the suicide mission, I breathe a sigh of relief that I hadn't lost anyone. It's moments like those that remind me why I love Mass Effect.
