Well it seems the power supply for my laptop has called it quits. As I was setting things up to run something, I noticed that I had only 42% power left, despite the fact it was plugged it. So after doing some quick checks, I found that the power supply for my laptop, a.k.a. the chord that goes into the wall, the DC converter, or the chord from that, stopped functioning and now I need to get it replaced. Thankfully my laptop is still under warranty and it will be covered, but I do not know at this time how long I will be off. This is because I edit and monitor from my laptop for multiple reasons, one being it's portable.

I'm posting this from another computer in my house which I don't normally have use it is inconvenient for me to do so. Among other reasons.

So I'll see you all in a few hours/days. Lancer1289 03:12, October 6, 2011 (UTC)

Update: Well I have the new power cord on order, and it turns out that it was the cord that goes from the wall into the brick that was the problem. How these things happen is my guess. Until then, I will be on sporadically, probably no more than a couple of times a day. Hopefully this won't take too long, but when the new part is coming from Texas, I may not get it until next week. Sigh. Lancer1289 02:02, October 7, 2011 (UTC)

Update: The part finally arrived. What takes a week to pull the part from the warehouse, put it in a box, then ship it is beyond me. It took a week for it to arrive, and yet the last time I had something shipped from Texas it tool three days. Lancer1289 21:00, October 13, 2011 (UTC)
