The Mass Effect universe is one big, cohesive universe. When you have a character that appears in multiple forms of media, like Aria T'Loak or the Illusive Man, for example, than the character that appears in the novel is the same character that appears in the game, and not an alternate Elseworld version of them, I will not be silenced by anyone who insists otherwise. The storyline section makes it sound almost like Aria is being instroduced in ME: Retribution, where we clearly met her in ME2 and Retribution. When I tried to fix it, someone thought it was "fine the way it was." They also foolishly thought that Redemption took place before Ascension, when it was clearly after/concurrent. This is asinine.
