Squad Bonus Powers Edit

During the course of the game there are missions that trigger follow-up or unique conversations/events with members of the squad. By speaking to them or participating in these events you can earn up to two powers that are unique to that member for use as a power for Shepard. The first power is free. The next is 4500 credits and each new/replacement is an additional 250 credits at 4750, 5000, etc.

These are the earliest points for these conversations to trigger. If you haven't triggered the first conversation, you cannot trigger the second, meaning that regardless of the conversation, if the first power hasn't been earned than the second cannot be earned. Some conversations will only take place at specific points. Waiting can prevent the acquisition of all possible powers from available members during that run-through.

If a player has downloaded From Ashes this guide assumes the earliest possible recruitment opportunity for the extra squad member Javik.

James Vega Edit

First Acquisition - Fortification - In the Shuttle Bay of the Normandy after Priority: Mars. Speak to James and spar with him.

Second Acquisition - Carnage - After Priority: The Citadel II, check your mail and invite James up to your cabin in response to his request.

Liara T'Soni Edit

First Acquisition - Warp Ammo - On board the Normandy after Priority: The Citadel II. Talk to her in her quarters.

Second Acquisition - Stasis - Speak to Liara in her quarters after Priority: Thessia.

Garrus Vakarian Edit

First Acquisition - Armor-Piercing Ammo - In the main battery of the Normandy. Talk to Garrus after recruiting him from Priority: Palaven.

Second Acquisition - Proximity Mine - After Priority: Thessia talk to him in the main battery.

EDI Edit

First Acquisition - Decoy - Talk to EDI in the cockpit of the Normandy after completing Priority: The Citadel II.

Second Acquisition - Defense Matrix - Talk to EDI in the cockpit of the Normandy after completing Priority: Horizon.

Tali'Zorah vas Normandy Edit

First Acquisition - Energy Drain - Invite Tali up to your cabin after she comes aboard during Priority: Perseus Veil.

Second Acquisition - Defense Drone - After Priority: Rannoch visit the Citadel and talk to Tali at the Presidium Commons.

Ashley Williams Edit

First Acquisition - Inferno Grenade - Recruit Ashely after Priority: The Citadel II.

Second Acquisition - Marksman - Meet with Ashley at the Memorial Wall when she requests support from you for her sister. The email to start the event triggers after one mission after her recruitment.

Kaidan Alenko Edit

First Acquisition - Barrier - Recruit Kaidan after Priority: The Citadel II.

Second Acquisition - Reave - Speak to Kaidan on starboard observation after recruiting him back aboard the Normandy.

Javik Edit

First Acquisition - Slam - Gained after recruiting Javik.

Second Acquisition - Dark Channel - Talk to Javik in his quarters after completing Priority: Horizon.
