Well, I'm contributing more to this wiki these days, so I guess I should fill this in a bit. I'm a graduate student at the University of Washington in Seattle, who probably shouldn't be spending his time on video games or video game wikis, but MASS EFFECT IS JUST SO FREAKING GOOD! And addictive. Ahem. I've also enjoyed the Halo series (though I lost interest after Halo 3), Dragon Age, Mirror's Edge, and, oddly enough, Too Human.
I've played through the original Mass Effect quite a few times, with all classes and difficulties (though not all combinations of the two!); I'm partial to Vanguards, usually of the Paragon alignment, and really have no use for ME1 Sentinels. I've played through Mass Effect 2 on Insanity with all classes; my favorite ME2 classes are Vanguard (though it took me a long time to figure out how to use Charge effectively), Infiltrator, and Sentinel, though Engineers work a lot better than I expected.
I'm currently playing through ME1 again, and have a couple of a couple of oddball character specs for ME2 I want to try out afterward -- an accuracy-focused Soldier using the Mattock and Widow in concert with Heightened Adrenaline Rush (my usual Soldier build uses the Revenant plus Hardened Adrenaline Rush), and a Sentinel using only powers -- no gunfire from Shepard. I think the accuracy Soldier is probably viable, even on Insanity, but I might have to step down the difficulty for my gun-less Sentinel...
In case anyone is curious, my username comes from an old Roguelike game called ZAngband. When you created an artifact (which usually only happened once per game, and was a big deal) the default name was "a DIY artifact". I thought that was hilarious, and it was the first thing that came to mind when I picked a name for an RPG wiki.
