Trebin is a modest terrestrial world, with an atmosphere composed of nitrogen and argon. Its surface is mainly composed of nickel with deposits of silver.
Trebin's environment is relatively mild, but the scarcity of water or similar enabling substances has prevented the development of any biosphere. ExoGeni Corp recently performed a test impact of a single water-ice comet into the surface, the first step of a long-term plan to thicken the atmosphere and introduce water to the environment.
A survey team is on the surface, monitoring the geological and meteorological effects of the test impact. Most of the water released is still in the form of atmospheric vapor, but thick cloud banks have formed. There is every indication that this arid world will soon see its first rain. The survey team's progress has been hampered by frequent mechanical or computer failures in their GPS satellites.

Visible from the landing site almost directly overhead are one large body and one small one. Surface conditions are such that telling their composition is not easy. Since Trebin is not itself described as a moon, these bodies are of comparable size to Trebin and in an unstable orbit.
[edit] Excavation Site
During the assignment UNC: Missing Survey Team, it is revealed that Trebin has some sort of alien technology buried on its surface. Encountering it turned the survey team who excavated it into Husks, who then built a crude structure out of rocks resembling the geth "shrine" on Feros. Shepard's team claims to have heard of artifacts like this; these artifacts turn the individuals who encounter them into fanatical 'machine cultists' who then worship technology. However given the presence of dragon's teeth in the lower reaches of the excavation site, there is some question over whether the survey team members were actually turned into Husks or sentient machine cultists; or whether these 'cultists' are another term for Husks.
