This Mission makes no tactical sense if you get the Thanix gun upgrade before it starts as the Normandy would be able to take it out easily while it's on the ground.

The Normandy is trying to save the colony; shooting a massive capital suspended vertically only by it's mass-effect fields next to the city while it contains many of the actual colonists they want to save would be counter-productive.

Yup! The point of the mission was to stop the Collector attack and save the colony. Severely damaging or destroying the cruiser would have resulted in huge pieces of the ship (if not the entire ship) raining down on the area around it, and what did the area around it consist of? The colony! Kind of hard to save a colony by demolishing it. SpartHawg948 07:11, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
