I am happy with how the pulse rifle article was merged. (I am the one who created it, I registered recently.) I think it looks better this way, is more concise, and I fully agree with the merge now that I see it with my own eyes. (Off-Topic: I really like how whoever merged it [Tullis?] added speculation over the Colossus' siege cannon.) GethPrime 19:19, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Glad to hear you're happy with the merge. --Tullis 19:37, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Tullis, if Saren and/or Sovereign aren't involved in Geth Armory, why the hell do they sell Krogan armor? Kalaong 08:25, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Response here. --Tullis 12:53, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Console[]

Could someone give me the exact console codes to get the weapons other than the pulse rifle? Sniper, shotgun, etc. Specificaly the shotgun? Thanks.

But... they're on the PC Cheats page. It's linked in the article. --Tullis 02:23, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

I looked for it on there but all I saw was the codes to get all weapons and some codes to get any weapon specificaly but you had to know the complicated ID for it. What i'm asking for is the IDs for them so I can use the codes correctly.

Fine. The code for the shot gun is giveitem self 10 gethgun_shotgun manf_geth_weap Next time, if you have a cheat code question about Geth Armory, just check my userpage, I have all the codes, ready to simply type in, so people having problems don't have to ask on these talk pages. --- GethPrime 05:01, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

Bugs[]

has anyone else gotten a pulse rifle x from the apartment computer and it looks like the assault rifle you start with. it also has upgrade slots and sounds nothing like a normal pulse rifle. --mebadatbball

I have gotten this, don't worry about it, if neccesary, you can always sell that one and replace it with a genuine one by using cheats. If not, just think of it as a new gun. --- GethPrime 04:59, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

I came to this article to look up this DLC weapon, but it's not mentioned in the article? Vetis 19:03, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

New geth armory weapon found[]

The geth Anti-Tank gun, carried by the geth prime units. It is a large version of the standard pulse rifle, animated, and glows blue. It has many attachments on it, and fires like a normal pulse rifle. Proof is here, type this code: giveitem self 10 gethgun_antitank manf_geth_weap If I get around to it, I will add the geth prime weapon to the Geth Armory charts, as it can be fully used by the player, and even though it is a cheats-only weapon, we already have the shotgun and sniper rifle, so the fourth weapon won't hurt either. --- GethPrime 05:06, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

Geth Sell Armor?[]

How does the Geth sell Armor, or is someone killing Geth, taking their stuff, then selling it? --173.32.11.254 23:03, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

A very large number of Krogan are allied with the Geth, and I can't remember finding any armor BUT Krogan armor from the Geth Armory.

Why does this manufacturer exist?[]

Okay, I know the weapon descriptions say that little is known about the Geth weapons, but if you can get an armory liscence for them, then obviously SOMEONE knows where to find their weapons plant, or something. If so, then why the hell hasn't the Council bombed the shit out of it?

Why havent they bombed the geth armory, first they may just be creating weapons that look gethish, it might be located in the terminus systems. And until the events of mass effect the geth had done nothing to provoke the citadel species, just because they are robots doesnt mean they dont have rights. No matter what you are talking about a risk of war just to destroy a weapons manufacturer that creates subpar weapons and armor. Can they even be upgraded every geth weapon i ever got couldnt be upgraded. ralok 08:43, January 26, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I'm fairly sure that, being AIs, the Geth have no rights except those they take by force. The Citadel species were basically ignoring them and hoping they stayed behind the Veil indefinitely; the only reason that boundary is respected is because the Citadel species try not to start wars without a good reason (since any war they enter makes them vulnerable to opportunistic strikes by other factions).
The source for Geth weapons is likely salvaged gear or simple copies made by an inexpert manufacturer in the Terminus Systems, with prime bets going to a Krogan operation organized by Saren or pirates salvaging gear from Geth battles. If they're being manufactured for sale, whoever is making them clearly doesn't fully understand the technology; if they did, one would assume they would retrofit it to allow mods (of course, the weapons are fairly good unmodified, so who knows). I'm inclined to assume a Krogan operation for the armor at the very least; the armor clearly isn't of Geth design, so having Krogans produce it for themselves makes sense. Stealing and selling weapons from the Geth (whether or not you're allied with Saren) would be in keeping with the modern Krogan mercenary attitude. And like Virmire, this operation is likely located outside Citadel space, making it a risky proposition to attack it: as the Council noted, a full military incursion into the Terminus Systems would likely cause the feuding systems to unite against Citadel aggression. And since the Geth probably have their own production facilities behind the Veil, all you'd manage to do is cut off supplies of Krogan armor and Geth weaponry to a few collectors, while doing little to impede their production capabilities.
All that said, the licenses are a game mechanic that doesn't have to make a whole lot of sense. If the armor comes from Krogan manufacturers and the weapons are salvaged by technologically sophisticated types like the Quarians (Tali showed a talent for Geth technology by salvaging memory bank data from one), the fact that both are provided by a single license isn't that big a deal. Just pretend you bought two licenses, one of which puts you in touch with a Krogan armor production facility, and the other of which gives you a contact in the Quarian black market. This can't be true[]

"The noise of a character arming the pulse weapons is actually one of the noises from the Xbox 360 guide menu"

Can anyone confirm this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by YIDOSH (talk · contr).

I'm skeptical myself. It has a faint similarity, but I doubt they borrowed the audio file. I've removed the claim for now; whoever added it, please explain which sound you are referring to in the guide, and which version of the weapon (including which game) is using it. ShadowRanger 22:50, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

Geth armor for humans[]

It is possible to equip humans with the Geth armor command as well. The armor looks like the Hydra armor, but has the shields and protection values of the Geth armor for Krogans. 84.191.181.90 11:24, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Krogan Rage Armor[]

I just got it in-game from the Alliance Requisition Officer (Normandy merchant) and the details are red instead of blue like in the screenshot here, same for the Berserker Armor which has green details but same stats. Shouldn't they be made into separate to give proper images for each?

PS: I would do it myself but I don't know how to take screenshots without the Menu UI appearing. Squall117 21:43, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

We just need to see some screenshots first, preferably with the menu. Because I have gotten Berserker Armor, which is default green. However I don't know about blue for rage armor, never having gotten it myself. Lancer1289 21:46, August 17, 2010 (UTC)
Addendum: I just noticed that the section covered three types of armor, Battlemaster, Rage, and Berserker. Personally I don't think that we need a screenshot for each. Lancer1289 21:48, August 17, 2010 (UTC)
Addendum 2: I also just checked, if the armor has the same stats, then only one type is shown on the Manufacturer page. On the various armor pages Rage Armor, Battlemaster Armor, and Berserker Armor have the individual images. Personally I think that on the Manufacturer pages, we only need one image, while the armor pages should cover the specific armor. Lancer1289 21:52, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Virimire[]

Just got a Geth Pulse Rifle as a random drop on Virimire, not sure if it's worth noting.

Why would it be worth noting. You can get pulse rifles from random drops anywhere, not just Virmire. I've gotten them in random loot on assignments with no geth involved. Lancer1289 17:55, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

Pulse Rifle with Mod Slot in ME[]

Posting another user's comment that was added to the article:

Pulse Rifle X

Actually, it is possible to get Pulse Rifle X with a functional ammo mod slot. You can purchase it in your apartment on Intai'sei.
-- Commdor (Talk) 00:53, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

So are you saying this is confirmed? Because to be honest, I have trouble believing that from a PC version where you can just console it in.--Xaero Dumort 03:28, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
Are you asking me or the user who wrote the comment and uploaded the screenshot? I've got no opinion one way or the other about if this is true. -- Commdor (Talk) 03:34, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
Either. Okay then.--Xaero Dumort 03:35, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
Although you're right, the screenshot's from a PC version, so it's possible the weapon was faked. It would need to be confirmed on Xbox or by a trusted user here who has the PC version before it could be noted in the article. -- Commdor (Talk) 03:39, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
I can also confirm it comes with an ammo mod from the random apartment deliveries. It looks like a the standard Avenger and sounds no different than most ME1 Assault Rifles. I don't know what proof I could supply other than my word since I am on a PC. I guess one could take a FRAPS video of it, but who knows how long it would take running through the randomizer to get it. And even then some people could just say you creatively edited the video.--Rtrnofdmax 16:37, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

I will further confirm it. plus here's a video of me getting it on the xbox360, as I'm not high enough to get one as a drop (with this Shepard), I cant compare on that character. [1] Yes Mass Effect 3 is in the disc drive, I've lost lost the mass effect disc so many times, I ended up just buying it off xbox live marketplace and downloading it. I imagine the mods do work on it. I havent used a modded geth pulse rifle in ages. --H4wkrapt0r 15:18, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

I can confirm this has happens. I got it the same way others have, via Intai'sei apartment. Looks just like Avenger but has 3 slots (two weapon and one ammo). Here is my pic of it http://a.yfrog.com/img526/8459/mxvc.jpg (sorry it's a link, but not sure how to upload pics directly, one thing I haven't need to do) I think it should be noted here for others as well. Mass effect 3[]

I mean that i have seen it in ME3 but im unsure, can anyone with information about this, update this page?!--Perkins98 (talk) 21:41, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

You should probably look at the page again. Trandra (talk) 21:42, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

Question Re: Weapon Mods on Geth Weapons[]

So, the Geth Armory page states that levels I-IX of the Geth Shotgun and Sniper Rifle have room for one weapon mod, while level X of each has room for two weapon mods. However, I used cheats to give myself each of the available types of weapons (my Sentinel wishes there were a pistol!), and only the Geth Sniper Rifle had any room for mods (corresponding to the statement made on the main page). So, is this an incorrect statement in the article page, or am I doing something wrong?

I used the cheats:
giveitem self 10 gethgun_shotgun manf_geth_weap
giveitem self 10 gethgun_sniper manf_geth_weap

Thanks! Balarick (talk) 07:02, November 19, 2013 (UTC)

Even though it's old, I'll continue this discussion since it's related to a recent edit war. I did some testing myself and got the same result as Balarick above and the anon who is now trying to introduce the change into the article.
I went to see Morlan to get the license, though he happened to have a Pulse Rifle VIII in his inventory too, which behaved as expected (i.e. no upgrade slots). Then I got mark IX and X versions of both the geth shotgun and the geth sniper rifle with their respective console commands (see PC_Tweaks#Manufacturer_Codes) and not the "gethgun_pulse" command mentioned in the article. In my case neither the mark IX nor X shotgun had upgrade slots, while indeed the SR did have one weapon upgrade slot at mark IX and two at X.
Is anyone else getting different results? Elseweyr talkstalk 27 Feb 2015, 22:13:06 (UTC)

Actually your link to the 'edit war' is misleading, since it was Temporaryeditor78 causing the supposed 'war'. Good to see he/she came to their senses, no doubt having belatedly read your comment. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.112.167.195 (talk · contr).

for the record the other IP contesting your claim isn't mine. if it so happens that subsequent testing on my part coincides with what others found, so be it and i've never been afraid to adjust my assessments. Just to be clear, I linked to the most recent change to the article at the time. "Edit warring" is a term for reverting back and forth, which usually doesn't lead anywhere; it's better to open the edit up for discussion on the related talk page. Because the burden of proof is on the one introducing the change, repeatedly reverting back to your own version was considered edit warring in this case. Even if you were in the right, it's just a matter of wiki conduct.
Thanks for helping correct the article and happy future editing :) Elseweyr talkstalk 2 Mar 2015, 00:07:01 (UTC)
