  • Bug? Strange, when I'm supposed to turn in the quest after placing the bugs, I see her icon on the map next to the Rapid Transit icon near the Embassy. It vanished after I turned in the quest in the Citadel however.

I have the Bring Down the Sky update / expansion installed. Morris Darkstar 20:33, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

E-mailEdit

Just wondering. Did anyone accidentally skip talking to Emily Wong before giving her the OSD? Do you still get an e-mail from her? Dibol 20:59, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

Yes you still get the email even if you bypassed her intially and gave her the OSD the first time you talked to her. Lancer1289 21:10, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

finding emily Edit

after planting the bug i went to the ! that said emily wong and cant find her what is going on

See Talk:Citadel: Planting a Bug as that is much more relevant there. Lancer1289 02:50, April 9, 2011 (UTC)

Another "FCC" pun? Edit

So Wong works for the "Future Content Corporation? That's subtle. predcon 00:28, February 3, 2012 (UTC)

Subtle how exactly? The FCC has no jurisdiction over Video Games in the US. So I can't see the connection with an acronym that could mean other things as well. Therefore, this "pun" is more than likely nothing more than a coincidence. Lancer1289 01:10, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
A coincidence that the acronyms are the same or that she's a reporter working for a broadcast corporation with the same acronym? Game devs can take pot shots at federal agencies that have nothing to do with their own industry. predcon 02:04, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
I never said they couldn't, so don't put words in my mouth. All I'm saying is that it is probably nothing more than that. The FCC is a Federal Regulatory Agency, Wong works for an independent corporation. So it's already stretching it beyond the breaking point. This is nothing more than a coincidence. Lancer1289 02:09, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
Moreover, would there be a U.S. Federal Communications Commission in 2186? I'm going to guess that there wouldn't be, so folks in the Mass Effect universe who hear "FCC" wouldn't be confused. Just my 2¢. PhoenixBlue 04:00, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Already? Edit

Well, ME3 isn't even out yet in some areas, and Wong is already dead. Jeez, BioWare, dick move...--142.176.29.140 04:15, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

She could return...as a reporter husk. Anyway, talk pages are for discussions regarding the article. Do take casual conversations to blog posts or the forums. Thanks! — Teugene (Talk)
Since she doesn't appear in the game can it be updated to say she died? Unless she's something along the lines of Majin Buu or a precursor (Demi-Gods from Jak & Daxter), I seriously don't see her coming back from ramming a sky car into a reaper's face. --Go Bruins! 03:53, March 15, 2012 (UTC)
Even if I'm inclined to believe that she is truly dead, non-appearance doesn't imply her death. However, by mentioning that she is MIA, it will safely cover both side of a coin. — Teugene (Talk) 04:36, March 15, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, who was the one who put that thing about her being alive? Can we see the actual transcript/a photo first? User:RevanSentinel 16:19, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

Mass Effect 3 Heading Edit

There was just some confusion about how the information regarding Emily Wong's apparent death is presented. The heading and spoiler tag makes it seem like that all happens in ME3. TheUnknown285 (talk) 03:26, March 23, 2014 (UTC)

Well it comes from ANN/SolComms, does anyone want to create spoiler headings for the Twitter feeds or will the ME3 one do? --Alientraveller (talk) 16:48, March 23, 2014 (UTC)
nothing is to be done. the source material is prominently linked in the article text. and in any case the solcomms feeds is still technically part of ME3 as far as supporting content go. Im trying to edit the entry for her Mass Effect 3 section with following but someone always edits it out for some reason so I'm putting it here:

However Commander Shepard receives on private terminal on board SSV Normandy SR-2 sometime after Priority: Sur'Kesh FCC News Broadcast message detailing reorganizing of resistance on Earth as reported by Emily Wong who was found by rescue crews in wreckage of her van after destruction of El Monte Airport in her first report after being released from hospital.

fanon from the happy ending mod. not allowed. further mentions will be reverted without explanation. persistence = loss of editing privileges.
