Uh captain kirahee survives if you go to the bomb, i've gone there on 2 play throughs in 1 play he lived on another he died, i think it might be random.

I think how much you help them also comes into play (whether you destroy the communications, whether you trigger the alarms on the other side of the compound, etc) Io Dragone 01:01, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
EDIT: I see what the first guy means, in the article it says he dies if you save the person at the bomb. I saved Ashley at the bomb, and Captain Kirahee still survived.

I'm thinking Kirahee was a (quite frankly obvious) tribute/easter egg to Currahee Mountain, featured in the miniseries Band of Brothers. Should that be included on the wiki page?

Kirrahe's speech[]

Should we stick a transcript of Kirrahe's speech on his page? --Tullis 18:40, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Zaeed kills Kirrahe[]

One of the stories Zaeed will tell you is he killed Kirrahe if you transfer a save over with Kirrahe surviving Virmire. Kirrahe retired and became an eclipse merc but was later killed by Zaeed.

No, Zaeed's talking about a different salarian that kindof reminded him of Mordin. --Darth Something 14:11, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
This is one of the wildest speculations I've seen yet. I'm somewhat impressed.--Captainhu 20:32, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
According to the link posted on the main article for Kirrahe, he's slated to appear in ME3 if he survived Virmire. So, no, Zaeed didn't kill Kirrahe. Toad of Steel 04:52, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

Mordin quoting Kirrahe[]

There is an established part of this article mentioning Mordin's quoting of Kirrahe. Should it also include mention of how, if Mordin dies in the suicide mission, his last words are another such quoting? (Ie, "Tell them I held the line.")SuperLoNC 17:06, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

cloaca[]

mordin calls him that? What does he mean by it, the link goes to something talking about bird orifaces so how is kirrahe even related to that?--Paladin cross 02:04, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

Seems to be Mordin's way of calling him an @$$hole. At least, that's how I interpreted it. SpartHawg948 02:07, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
"a common cavity at the end of the digestive tract for the release of both excretory and genital products in vertebrates (except most mammals) and certain invertebrates. Specifically, the cloaca is present in birds, reptiles, amphibians, most fish, and monotremes."
Salarians have cloacas I guess. It's essentially calling him an asshole... literally.JakePT 02:10, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
Given the many functions served by a cloaca, I'd say it could be a more all-purpose insult than that. At least, I get a chuckle out of the multiple entendre. Diyartifact 06:13, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

Kirrahe is an asshole? How so, do salarians hate speeches due to short lifespans or something?

--Paladin cross 02:26, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

Just because the only time we meet Kirrahe gives a speech, does not mean that's his entire personality. Also, I'd argue that by 'cloaca' he means 'ass' mores than 'asshole'. When saying 'ass' you don't necessarily mean they're a jerk, but maybe they're too uptight or self-serioius, both things Kirrahe appears to be, and Mordin implies. JakePT 03:54, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

on another note should it be mentioned thhat salarians have cloacas?--Paladin cross 02:44, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

If there is anything confirming that they do, sure. I've yet to see any such evidence though. SpartHawg948 02:46, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

the words of a salarian is not enough?--Paladin cross 02:46, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

What words? I haven't reviewed it, so I'm going off what you said. And you said in the OP that Mordin called Kirrahe a cloaca, which is not proof that salarians have them. As such, I was being a bit flippant. I see no reason to add the information, no more than I see a need to add that humans have sphincters to the human article. SpartHawg948 02:49, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
Indeed, being a scientist Mordin no doubt knows of cloacas, and is aware of their 'multi-function' nature, and would no doubt see its utility as an insult, regardless of whether or not they actually possess them. While their amphibian nature suggests salarians probably do have them, a salarian using the word as an insult says nothing about whether or not they do, let alone how relevant to our article that would be. Kirrahe Name[]

This page should be rename Major Kirrahe

No it shouldn't. Kirrahe was introduced in Mass Effect, when he is a captain. Therefore this article has to reflect that. There's a reason Tali's article is still named Tali'Zorah nar Rayya. Lancer1289 23:54, February 15, 2012 (UTC)
On the other hand, Liara's page is at "Liara T'Soni," not "Doctor Liara T'Soni." Anderson is at "David Anderson," not Captain/Admiral/Councilor. Should this page not instead be simply "Kirrahe" with the ranks mentioned in the article? Captain and Major Kirrahe can simply be redirects to that.
As for the wider issue, having their name/rank/title/whatever of their first appearance as the main thing does seem counter-intuitive. Having it instead be based on just their full name (if known), with the rank/title/whatever of their latest appearance in the lead seems more natural to me, especially when stories could be told at any point in the timeline. Something like this:
Tali'Zorah vas Normandy, born Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, was a quarian and member of Commander Shepard's squad. She is the daughter of blah blah blah blah blah.
or whatever. Whether you mention vas Neema in the lead as well or later on at the appropriate point is up to you.
I just haven't noticed it this way on any other wikis, but to be fair I'm not especially involved in the ins and outs of their policies. The whole "present tense" thing here is kinda weird. Yes, I'm aware this isn't the place for all this, but I don't know where it is (and don't especially wish to undertake an effort to find out). --86.13.179.168 00:17, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

Move Proposal[]

Following from the above discussion it seems prudent to move this page to 'Kirrahe'. - Goldenboy666 01:31, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

Oppose, unless someone can confirm an alternative for the full name from the Memorial Wall. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 00:46, March 27, 2012 (UTC)

'To those who oppose - can you provide some justification as to why "Engineer Adams" recent became "Greg Adams"?

Lancer1289, your opposition to the Admiral Hackett move was that in-game, he was regularly referred to by rank & surname, not "Steven Hackett". With Mass Effect 3, this is no longer the case with Kirrahe. - Goldenboy666 21:33, March 26, 2012 (UTC) - Goldenboy666 21:33, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

And I don't even have to give a reason for opposing the move. I can just not like it. Lancer1289 21:41, March 26, 2012 (UTC)
I'm just curious as to why you do? - Goldenboy666 00:41, March 27, 2012 (UTC)

The move proposal fails 2-3. The article will remain at the current title. -- Commdor (Talk) 16:44, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

How?[]

I had no idea he could survive the attack, what is it that you have to do to get him to survive?--MAsseffectfreak (talk) 19:30, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

Read Virmire: Assisting Kirrahe's Team. --Mr. Mittens (talk) 19:34, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, now I wonder what other small details I've missed.--MAsseffectfreak (talk) 19:52, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

Skin Color Change[]

Ok, so in ME1 Kirrahe's skin was green, but in ME3 it's brown. I don't believe that this just happens to salarians (at least I can't recall reading anything of the sort in the salarian codex entry), so should this be pointed out in the trivia maybe (much like Wreav and his crest)? --Soren7550 (talk) 17:53, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

i'd say "why not". admins might take issue however and classify it as "trivial trivia". along with wreav's headcrest, kelly's sudden ME3 derpface (pre-facelift), khalisah al-jilani's lack of freckles (or whatever those abominations on her face were) or everybody else who got a distinctive face upgrade in ME3. Matriarch Aethyta - also distinctive.
