Dead Body?
Edit
"Next to a dead soldier"? Is it just me or is there not a body next to the dogtags? Dragory 02:51, March 8, 2012 (UTC)
- It isn't. Statment corrected. Lancer1289 02:53, March 8, 2012 (UTC)
Hey, this may be a little badly botched because I'm not logged in or whatever...but I'm wondering, does finding the dogtags lead to a piece of dialogue with the father? I don't remember ever picking up the dogtags or even finding them (I'd found the Capacitor Helmet round the corner, mind you), but I decided to go back to the Diplomat afterwards and I was able to complete the mission regardless. I'm thinking either I've missed my picking up the dog tags somewhere, or there's more than one way to complete the mission (ie, without dogtags). Thanks, if you read that longwinded explanation for a question >.> (Signing without logging in, of course, Herecomethecalvary)
After the Citadel Attack.
Edit
Hey I missed the dogtags during the N7 mission, so hoped to finish the mission upon returning to the Citadel after Tuchanka, as I had just finished that mission upon reading the walkthrough. However in the aftermath of the attack the mission has autocompleted, along with several other fetch-and-carry quests, and Osoba has disappeared. Should this be noted in the article?Garhdo 12:23, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
- This should definitely be noted. It is a common issue with several assignments, that they are immediately cancelled upon completion of Priority: Tuchanka. Incrognito 22:48, March 16, 2012 (UTC)
Reward?
Edit
Is there a reward for completion of this quest? I just (finally got it right and) completed it. The Ambassador said something about "knowing what to do". I got no reward pop-up. So I guess I just did this for the +5 reputation and the warm and fuzzy feeling I got for telling a man that his son died in battle? Villagereaver 20:25, March 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, there's a reward IF you talked to the ambasador before doing this mission, wich makes cross-reference to the mission N7: Cerberus Abductions, is 15.000 credits plus +5 paragon points. If you did the mission without talking to him you only gain the paragon points.
Advancement
Edit
I feel it should also be noted that when the dog tags are picked up during the mission there is NO pop-up nor is there an advancement entry in the journal. --JJFitz3 23:33, March 29, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure that's the case for most, if not all of the ME3 collection-type missions. -- Commdor (Talk) 23:37, March 29, 2012 (UTC)
Naming
Edit
This mission has an "alternate" name also much like the Apien Crest one. It's either Benning: Dog Tags or Citadel: Dog Tags. I can't remember right now but in any case, that's the only title I've ever known for this mission as I always grab the tags during the N7: Cerberus Abductions missions. Can we adjust it? Hefe 16:05, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
- We just create a page that redirects to this one (and also note the alternate name on the Missions page). Trandra 16:17, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Er...yeah. That's what I was alluding to. My fault for not being clear. Thanks. Hefe 16:24, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
- When you are sure about the name of the mission when you get it in this manner, please edit the missions page and create a redirect page. (You can find "how to create a redirect page" by visiting an existing redirect page.) --NisansaDdS 17:22, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Er...yeah. That's what I was alluding to. My fault for not being clear. Thanks. Hefe 16:24, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Will do. Later this evening anyway. Thanks. Hefe 17:34, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
- You are welcome. :-) --NisansaDdS 17:37, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
As it turns out, there was a page already but it was not listed on the Missions page. That has been rectified along with the appropriate redirect. Hefe 01:01, May 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Just visited the link and the page. Brilliant! --NisansaDdS 04:15, May 11, 2012 (UTC)
Squad talking in Purgatory
Edit
In the entrance corridor to Purgatory there are some guys talking about what happened. They say the guy's son drew fire so that they could escape, and that Cerberus took him out in an unneccesarily brutal fashion. They mention him by name. Is this worth noting in the article?
- No it isn't as it isn't relevant. Lancer1289 (talk) 04:20, August 8, 2012 (UTC)
- Should there be a Trivia noting about the squad on this page however? Something along the lines of 'Outside of the Purgatory Bar on the Citadel a squad of soldiers talk about fighting on Benning. It is implied the squadmate they lost and are toasting is Osoba's son?' Unless this trivia piece is mentioned anywhere else, as I'm sure there are better places for it. dog tag closeup trivia
Edit
zoom in at it with one of the usual controls. it's a normandy dog tag. the same asset used at the Normandy Crash Site mission in ME2. i'd post a screenshot but i think it's too much effort for such a trivial trivia so i'll just leave this here.
