Septimus?
Edit
Is this General Oraka the Septimus from ME1?
- Yes, but it isn't trivia material. Lancer1289 03:33, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
Ok no problem
Bug
Edit
Hey, completed blue suns mission without getting the old guy killed (complete in journal, aria mentions it in game too), but they're not showing up as war assets. Are they gonna show up later or am I just not going to get them in this play through? Looks like a pretty stupid bug
Look under War Assets/Alien--> Terminus Fleet. --Go Bruins! 16:44, March 27, 2012 (UTC)
- I can confirm this bug. And I have found a fix and now it is available at Aria:_Blue_Suns#Bug. It might be noteworthy that this bug was not in the first playthrough that used an ME2 import. This only came in the ME3 import playthrough. I cannot confirm that until more data is available such as your input. But by your wording "in this play through" it seems like the case. Please reply so that it also can be added to help the players. --NisansaDdS 15:33, May 1, 2012 (UTC)
- And it has been removed because we do not have confirmation on the bug yet. Three users are required to confirm a bug. Lancer1289 15:36, May 1, 2012 (UTC)
- If and when another user complains, will my fix be restored or is there a procedure to confirm the fix as well? --NisansaDdS 15:42, May 1, 2012 (UTC)

i can confirm this bug too. i got it even with an imported save from ME2. --Carsten210195 17:20, May 1, 2012 (UTC)
- Lancer, now since we have three people confirming, shall I put my fix back on? --NisansaDdS 17:33, May 1, 2012 (UTC)
This bug did not occur in my initial playthrough (used an imported ME2 file, and completed Aria: Blue Suns without having to kill Oraka). I'm looking at the War Assets in the file right now and the Blue Suns entry is present in the Terminus Fleet asset and the asset's total value is at 200.
If the cause of the bug is playing an ME3 run with either no ME2 import or an ME3 import, then that will still require the verification of another user or clarification from User:Burkenation; his claim isn't clear enough to be considered verification at present because he did not mention if his game used an ME2 import or not. -- Commdor (Talk) 18:48, May 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, I too did not get the bug on my initial playthrough where I used an ME2 import. (i.e: completed Aria: Blue Suns without having to kill Oraka and had the Terminus Fleet asset was at 200) It only happened in my second playthrough where I imported that save game from ME3 to ME3. But Carsten210195 said that he got the bug even in his ME2 import. Thus I agree that there are not enough people to claim that the bug occurs when ME2->ME3 import happens. (Because it is only me directly stating the fact and User:Burkenation is rather vague.)
But still it is evident that there are 3 users claiming the existence of the bug; User:Burkenation , Carsten210195 and myself. Thus I propose adding the Bug info and debugging info to the article and wait till further confirmation to add or not to add the cause of the bug.
And If I may be so bold to give further thoughts on this; Between ourselves (Not ever to be added to the page), I think this is what we call a "Mandelbug"; A bug whose causes are so complex it defies repair, or makes its behavior appear chaotic or even non-deterministic. Thus making it hard to reproduce. It maybe the reason that it eluded Bioware's eyes. And the reason for the proposed workaround to work. --NisansaDdS 03:25, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

I too am I getting this bug. I'm playing an ME3 import of an ME2 import of an ME import. I have no idea if any of that has any thing to do with the bug. I managed to spare Oraka, but the way. TheUnknown285 21:50, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your effort to help fix this issue. If you are stuck in the game due to the bug, you can visit the old version of the article before Lancer undid it from Aria:_Blue_Suns?oldid=301659 , get it fixed and continue. :-D Hope the administrators will restore the article soon.
- As for the import business it seems that it has been invalidated. Thus we are left with no explanation for the reason of occurring. But still, we can all agree on the fact that the bug exists and if you try the fix, you can confirm that it work too. The reason for the occurrence of a bug has not played a very important issue in this wikia anyway it seems. For an example take the Hanar Diplomat mission. I have discussed that problem of "cause" having a weak support at the relevant talk page. In that light, what administrators are doing here is rational; Trying to keep such information without confirmation out of the article. --NisansaDdS 05:00, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Update; Commdor gave me a go-ahead on his talk page. :-D I shall now add the bug fix. Thank you everybody for your support. --NisansaDdS 05:03, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
A solution for this bug appears in the last of post on http://social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effect-3/Mass-Effect-3-Story-and-Campaign-Discussion-Spoilers-Allowed/Aria-Blue-Suns-Quest-10640123-1.html
- As you may see from the time stamps. I have submitted the bugfix here before it was mentioned in the said post. And I can assure you that the fix added to this wikia works 100% whereas there seems to be a problem with the fix suggested in that thread. Therefore I implore the Admins to restore the previous bugfix. --NisansaDdS (talk) 07:40, July 21, 2012 (UTC)
