Sirta Foundation
From Mass Effect Wiki
A biomedical firm, Sirta made its fortune eliminating several genetic diseases endemic to human populations. Sirta also developed medi-gel, which, while technically illegal under Council law, is far too useful to ban. The Foundation is renowned for its humanitarian efforts, and refuses to produce weapons or similar "offensive" products. They do, however, offer basic protective or utilitarian items ranging from armor to omni-tools to bio-amps.
The Foundation has a small research station on Chohe.
The PC version reveals that internally this manufacturer is referred to as 'Sitta' instead, but has been renamed to 'Sirta' in localization. It is changed back to Sitta in the PC version. Sirta is possibly a reference to Marina Sirtis, the actress who played Deanna Troi in the Star Trek universe, and who voices Matriarch Benezia in Mass Effect.
