Rear Admiral Mikhailovich

Rear Admiral Mikhailovich is a Systems Alliance Admiral serving in the Fifth Fleet. Specifically he commands the 63rd Scout Flotilla. He is waiting for Commander Shepard on the Alliance docking bay when the Normandy returns to the Citadel, to perform a surprise inspection as part of the Citadel: Snap Inspection assignment. If present in the squad, either Ashley Williams or Kaidan Alenko will salute him on sight.

Mikhailovich is angry because the Normandy was supposed to be part of his flotilla and instead got handed over to Shepard. He believes the Normandy is overdesigned, costing a huge amount of credits that could have been better used elsewhere; the frigate's unique design cost as much as a heavy cruiser. He claims the stealth system, which allows the Normandy to drift undetected in enemy systems or drop infiltration units on hostile planets, isn't worth the price: "(warships) are meant to find and destroy the enemy, not count how many times their garrisons go to the bathroom!" He also has an issue with the Normandy's turian design and the fact the ship has several alien crew members.

Shepard can use Charm or Intimidate to answer Mikhailovich's questions - the responses influence how positive the admiral's report will be and earn Renegade or Paragon points. Alternately, Shepard may use the position of a Spectre to flat out refuse to let the Rear Admiral on board, earning Renegade points.
