Disambiguous This article is about the multiplayer power in Mass Effect 3. For the Krogan Warlord's passive power, see Warlord Rage. For the model of armor in Mass Effect, see Rage Armor.

Rage is a class-specific passive power in Mass Effect 3. It is available only to the krogan classes in the multiplayer mode. It is an ability that triggers when the krogan performs 3 successful melee kills within 30 seconds. This grants the krogan increased protection and melee damage for 30 seconds. This effect can be renewed for every 3 (or two with Pure Rage) melee kills within the following 30 seconds.

Player Notes Edit

  • Rage evolved to maximize melee damage, and using a shotgun with Omniblade mod attachment, the already good heavy melee of a krogan becomes incredible, capable of taking down armoured heavies (such as Atlases, Brutes, and Geth Primes, and Praetorians) with ease on bronze. However it is a high-risk/high-reward tactic, as most of the heavy units can instantly kill you if you get too close.
  • Rage evolved to maximize health, shields and damage reduction can also be highly beneficial. If this is done on a Battlemaster Vanguard and Shaman Adept, whom has also done the same to Barrier, having both active at the same time can allow the player to shrug off all but the most intense of fire, even on gold or platinum. This makes them very useful for the object recovery objectives, as they can happily carry the object and ignore incoming fire.
