This will be an article for a planet mentioned in an ambient conversation from Mass Effect 3. There is currently no mention of this planet anywhere on the wikia. While the article will be short (two paragraphs for the sandbox draft), this is actually much larger than what we have for New Canton and not that much smaller than what we have for Ferris Fields.

Comments

this is... unexpected. zahni is legit and i think has enough unique writeup to stand on its own, but you opened up a different can o' worms entirely. new canton is unnacceptably small, and no new information about it ever surfaced after ME2. it's better off as

• a) part of a background planets spinoff (off the top of my head i can add javik's atespa there)
• b) an individual page for crewman rolston, where new canton is turned into a redirect to the character (in all likelihood the guy has enough material for a separate article, just no one has bothered to do the honors yet)

pros for A: home for single-mention planets not documented anywhere (even in background races)

cons for A: at the moment, only two legit entries.

pros for B: in keeping with current procedure of redirecting the single mentions to larger articles where they can be integrated within context easily

cons for B: at the moment, no research on rolston (if it turns out he doesn't have enough material, he can be integrated into the minor characters page and i'll have to open the redirect proposal once that project passes.)

I think Option A is the best way to go. I would change it to encompass all miscellaneous locations. It would help mitigate the small N problem you mention (by adding things like the Cronian Nebula and the Andura Sector). There would also be the issue that there are some locations that we don't really know what they are (i.e., planet, moon, asteroid, space station, cluster, etc.). Examples include Tranbir 9, the Verom Anjelik, Judor IV, the Tirandi Veil, etc. Also, I do have intentions on adding Rolston (as well as other other Normandy crew members like Hadley) to the Minor Characters article when I get a chance.
