Just about to download ME on PS3. Has anybody clarified whether the standalone game will allow a save transfer? And will this circumvent the comic at the beginning of 2? I'd hate to have my canon overwritten by the "previously on Mass Effect" motion comic. I know the PS3 version of ME2 has some files that aren't accessible without a transfer, continuation of quests from the first game, etc. Will this stuff "activate" with a ME save file? Sorry for dumb post, googling has not found me answers. Ctrl alt belief (talk) 13:01, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

I agree, this is something that has been bugging me. Will we be able to transfer files on our PS3? Supposedely, Colin Moriarty will be writing about this in his review; hopefully it's ready soon. --The Milkman | I always deliver. 16:41, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, asked on BSN they linked me to this thread: https://web.archive.org/web/20160731151816/https://forum.bioware.com/topic/430157-does-anyone-know-if-you-can-import-me1-shepard-to-me2-on-the-ps3/

It seems ME2 needs a patch (which should be currently available) to access and clean up its transfer content (Verner, Kirrahe, etc). So be sure to download that before you try restarting 2. Ctrl alt belief (talk) 23:10, December 8, 2012 (UTC)
