I downloadied the demo the day after it came out, once I got to grips with the controls I decided to go with Infilitrator again, and everything was fine.......exept one thing. The Avenger, staple assault rifle (aside from the Mattock) of the series until now, was just getting better, but they screwed us over and gave us a rapid fire pee-shooter with the recoil of a snow blower. It sounds worse than the original ME rifle, and it has terrible recoil. I have no other problems with the game, exept for that. What are your thoughts community? Haven't played the demo yet but since we will be able to customize the weapons I'm not too worried. In fact, that's probably why they didn't make the weapon too powerful from the start.--Darkshark74 03:44, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

I have unlocked the scope and decreased recloil upgrades for the assasult rifles, attack both of them and its a perfect weapon, but the sounds still dissapoint me. I want the ME2 Avenger back :( TheRealTerminal 03:52, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

Oh well, I got the pre order, and the collectors edition weapon bonuses coming along with all the guns from ME2. I'm sure I'll find something that's an acceptable weapon.--Darkshark74 03:59, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

True, the M-8 Avenger in the demo wasn't up to ME2 standards. but it will be inappropriate to judge it too soon. Maybe the full version game will a have better quality of the rifle. Bioware is investing hugely in this game. There's no way they will downgrade weapon systems just to screw us over. Have patience, guys! --Thewarrior2012 06:45, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

I hope so, because to be honest, the Mattock was a bit of a let down for me too, the Tempest along with it, funny thing is, the only thing they made PERFECT was the Mantis and Predator, everything else bothered me in some way.

The thing you have to remember, is that the guns you use in the singleplayer demo are all level 1. There are 10 total level for each weapon (indicated by roman numerals after the gun's title), which I'm assuming will be able to be upgraded in-game. I had no problem with the Avenger, or its recoil, but I can definitely see where you're coming from. In multiplayer, my Avenger is fully level 10, and it's incredible. It's a hell of a lot better than the Avenger was in ME2. And same with the Mattock. My Mattock in multiplayer is only level 4, but it's already just as good as the Mattock in ME2. I'm not sure why we're only given VERY BASIC weapons with no upgrades in the singleplayer portion, but just remember that everything will be completely upgradeable in the full game. --HellfireDezzy 12:05, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
