Hi, just wondering which gun is the best light weight shotgun--HockeyLord46 (talk) 11:41, April 9, 2013 (UTC)
- well, the M-358 Talon is a pistol. But Disciple is lighter. So, Disciple would be lighter, if that is your question.--TW6464 (talk) 14:17, April 9, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I meant which acts as a better shotgun :) . I don't really care about weight difference because the talon is only a few percent heavier on my build.--HockeyLord46 (talk) 01:58, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
The Talon does a little more damage innately (plus does extra damage to shields and barriers). The Disciple has a slightly-tighter choke (meaning that it's more effective at range), fires eight pellets instead of six (increasing the chance of ammo effects triggering), and has a high chance of causing enemies to stagger. Each has their benefits, so which one is the better weapon depends on which benefits are more appealing to you. LilyheartsLiara (talk) 21:35, April 9, 2013 (UTC)
Perfect answer, Thank You!--HockeyLord46 (talk) 01:59, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
Why don't we have both? 87.97.58.204 20:18, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
What?--HockeyLord46 (talk) 20:50, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
Because then we'd have two shallow-mag, slow-firing shotguns of only moderate damage each and weak against the same enemies, instead of either a different kind of weapon to balance out or no second weapon, with our power cooldown twice as fast. Ctrl alt belief (talk) 01:49, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
wow thats harsh--HockeyLord46 (talk) 20:48, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
With the more recent DLC's, there's also the matter of the Pistol Power Magnifier. A player playing as an Adept, Engineer, powers-based Sentinel, or powers-based Vanguard might consider the Talon to provide another advantage there that the Disciple cannot.
