Did anyone else think that Legion was going to be an analogue for Saren in Mass Effect 2. Now, I don't mean that he would be an antagonist, but that he would be constantly following Shepard and Co. Basically being a presence that follows them until finally reaching a point where he joined them. (Maybe after a fight or something.) Maybe it was how he was represented during promotional videos, but I just thought that he'd be more of an active presence in the story rather than showing up on the derelict Reaper and then joining Shepard's squad. Do you think this is what Bioware originally had in mind for him? Since it appears he was originally going to be available as a squad member much earlier.

Not quite, it's more that Shep himself is an analogy for Saren. They follow similar paths, with similar goals. They both gather allies, geth, krogan and the like and they both believed that they were saving the galaxy. The difference is that shep (that we know of) isn't indoctrinated yet.Nashk 13:58, April 19, 2011 (UTC)
