Does anyone know for sure what effects the DLC from ME and ME2 would have on ME3? Specifically if you have the DLC, but skipped the content on a playthrough.

I guess it wouldn't be so bad for most of the content except for The Arrival. You pretty much get shoehorned into that outcome for starting ME3, but what if you never played or downloaded it? Would it have major repercussions?

Asking out of curiousity and since I never got to pick up that DLC yet. Should I hold off from playing ME3 or just go with it?

Well the Mass Effect 2 DLC fleshes out the story more since I know for a fact that many characters from the DLC and also the books appear in Mass Effect 3. For example, you meet up with a scientist who worked on Project Overlord. You will also talk to Liara who will describe how she hired "many mercanies" to become Shadow Broker instead of saying you helped her. Admiral Anderson will also refer to your actions during the Arrival DLC in the first cutscene. So, if you want a more fleshed out story where your actions are more recognized then simply hiring mercs to do it, then I recommend it. --Duzaman 16:49, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
