I don't like asking a second question so soon from a first, but this one is much simpler. Perhaps others are wondering as well

I'm seeing the endings are tied on A - Fate of the Collector Base, and B - Your readiness rating.

What is the readiness rating? in the War room, I'm given a number of values. I'll give hypothetical values that are very similar to my current stats for example

Total Military Strength 6400 Effective Military Strength 4200 Galactic Readiness 70% Chance of Sucess - Even

I Don't get where this number for readiness rating *RR* comes from. It's obviously not galactic readiness because that measures in percentage. And the RR is determined by a 4 digit number.

Your readiness is affected by the multiplayer. Every time you play a session, your rating increases. The percentage your rating is, is the percentage of your Total Military Force that you actually get to use in the end, the Effective Military Strength.

So here's how your above example would actually apply. Total Military Strength 6400 Galactic Readiness 70% Effective Military Strength is 70% of 6400, or 4480.

In order to get the best endings (though all are arguably bad), you have to play at least some of the multiplayer.

I hope this helps.

Have to add that so far it seems really hard to reach over 8000 TMS (even with From Ashes DLC). You need to do things a certain way (especially with the krogan) and you can't play full paragon or renegade. It's not really clear if the game was designed that way or it's just buggy, cos some people said that certain War Assets don't register properly (like the salarian fleet). So getting that “best” (lol not really) ending you have to play multiplayer, wait for a patch, or edit the coalesced.bin.--SunyiNyufi 13:01, March 11, 2012 (UTC)

Far as I know now, 5000 is the optimum, anything more doesn't make an effect. That's EMS mind you Kastrenzo 14:53, March 18, 2012 (UTC)
