if this proposal passes, though, side note:, we can't actually use the russian wiki's renders as they're already under fan art territory. as much as possible, ingame shots are preferred, so we're still going to have to rely on easily obtainable shots from the armor interface screens. Project: Armor infobox update

Add the female counterpart on armor articles
Currently developed by: User:DeldiRe - originally developed by: User:Dch2404 (Template:ArmourInfoBox)
Developer(s) notes: Vote
Status last updated: 20/04/15

Page location: [[Template update, Example, related pictures]]
Page should contain: See below
Supporting links or images: The template Template:ArmourInfoBox & an example Blood Dragon Armor
Discussion on: See below

Other Notes

The project aims to update the current armor infobox in order to show both male and female version of the armors in ME2 & ME3. The project is currently developed on my own test wiki but it can be moved here anytime.

First mockup for comments and improvements. At this stage, two main issues remain (please response with the accurate number):

  1. Should we add a IF command to remove the male/Female if we do not have both version's picture?
  2. Should we aggregate the three image (front/rear/side) upstream or is it possible to put them in a single template? I wasn't able to do it.

Comments

First issue has been dealt with, it seems more comfortable to have the "if" function for several reasons:

  • Overhaul will be easier as the code on current armor pages will not be irrelevant
  • Template is more flexible (if we do not have a picture for the female or the male version of the armor)
  • Template can be use in the future is unisex armor appears during next games.

NB: Thanks Elsie for the help. --DeldiRe (talk) 12:58, March 20, 2015 (UTC)

Is there any more comments or input?--DeldiRe (talk) 14:51, April 7, 2015 (UTC)

What you have done so far is transplanted the tab from Template:ME3MPCharacterBox, which clashes with the rest of the armor infobox. At the very least, the styling would have to be adjusted. Elseweyr talkstalk April 7, 2015, 16:19:41 (UTC)
So you would like to create a new " id="tabberhumans" " in the CSS? I don't feel that this style clashes with the rest of the infobox but if you want I can try something else :)--DeldiRe (talk) 07:20, April 8, 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean by creating 'a new id="tabberhumans"' -- the existing one is fine as it is, but it's tailored for the ME3MP character box in the case that it's used for one of the tabberised human characters. The colour scheme for the armor infobox is different, so using tabber styling that is obviously for a different infobox just looks awkward and unprofessional.
How and where the styling is coded is a separate matter: I used the id to move the tabber style rules to the CSS sheet and thus reduce clutter in the template code. Elseweyr talkstalk April 8, 2015, 10:50:30 (UTC)
Yep in my mind: new one = new CSS line with a specific colour scheme. --DeldiRe (talk) 12:19, April 8, 2015 (UTC)

According to Else's comments, I have updated the proposal (in the wikia.CSS):

  • margin have been removed
  • Tabber colors have been changed to match infobox style
  • Title has been placed on the top of the infobox
-> See example: http://deldire.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Dragon_Armor

With this new update a new code can be use for every tabber that we would like to add in a new/current template. --DeldiRe (talk) 13:07, April 9, 2015 (UTC)
