Does anyone else have problems with the wiki not letting them indent? For some reason I can never indent on this wiki. I've tried everything but I can never get the page to correctly display. I've tried using the indent button, spacing 5 times and other functions that a couple of our sister sites(dargon age wikia, fallout wikia, etc.) us as a sort of hotkey, for ex. using ":" before a comment will cause an indent but nothing works. I can't even add a line break either, the site automatically deletes any carriage returns I add. I use a lot of wiki sites, know how to program(vb.net ), html, xhtml, php, and other languages so it's not that I'm ignorant of how to use a wiki/computer but this site is the only one that I've ever had problems with. Do we have any tips like on the left section of our sister site here http://dragonage.wikia.com/index.php?title=Dragon_Age_Wiki&action=edit ? Thanks for any help with these bugs, -d.

Perhaps this seems obvious, but are you editing with the rich text editor? I can't stand the thing, and wikitext doesn't behave correctly when using it. Try changing your account settings to not use it maybe (More-> Preferences)? Also, Editing tips display on the left for me... that's another account option. Hope this helps, possibly? Without knowing more about what's different between your settings here and on the DA wiki, it's hard to help. It's a very strange bug either way. -- Dammej (talk) 03:37, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
Here's a screenshot of the problem, you can see the markup is correct but it just doesn't work correctly. I use windows 7, latest updates, java enabled and up to date too. Dammej, I do have the rtf enabled in the editing section on my preferences, I don't think I've ever changed my settings and it was set to this by default. Should I unenable rtf editing?Djdelirius 03:43, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Auto...um uncorrecting.

I have found that the RTE is just one big pain in the butt time and time again. Disabling it is probably for the best becuase it usually cuases more problems than it solves. In some cases I have had to spend quite some time fixing articles that were messed up by the RTE. So yes diabling it would be a good idea. Lancer1289 04:01, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks guys, disabling the rtf completely fixed all problems, I can finally use markup and correctly contribute to our site. Do the admins know about these bugs and that they aren't isolated as the above members have also had this problem/--Djdelirius 10:17, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
