Something I am curious about. In everything being shown about ME3, you see Anderson as an Admiral as he helps you along in the beginning. The Voice Cast video listed Keith David as playing "Admiral Anderson". But as my Paragon Shepard always chooses Anderson the join the Council, I pose these questions. Wouldn't that(or shouldn't that) have any, if not bigger, impact on the game over him being just an Admiral? Also, would he(or should he) even really be present during the opening of the game? I would assume the other Council members would call to have him stay on the Citadel. I am just wondering how that may change the game dynamic.

Mass Effect: Retribution, which takes place after Mass Effect 2, also says Anderson as an Admiral. The generally accepted theory is that Anderson resigned from the Council between the end of Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect: Retribution. Don’t forget, he completely leaves the Citadel, resigning his position in Retribution as well. Hopefully this is something BioWare will address in Mass Effect 3. Yes, i remember. That frustrated me too, what happened in Retribution, as it goes from a point of him never getting the chance to be on the Council. I enjoyed the other books because they didn't reference things you had control over in the games. But yeah, i do hope it will be addressed in the game. If it does come up that he is still a Council member however, I will be glad for that, as my decision in the story won't go to waste.

Actually, it never stated anywhere in Retribution, or anywhere else for that matter, that Anderson wasn’t' Councilor. Lancer1289 01:56, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

I see. You mean it's like he could've been Councilor, resigned, and given the rank of Admiral by the Alliance. I understand. It just seems so...unprecedented.

It's a little odd, but Anderson doesn't really strike me as a politician. He seems like he could easily get fed up with the position, not to mention that Udina might be undermining him and gunning for his spot. I made Anderson the Councilor in all my playthroughs, and I'm anticipating hearing a few tart comments about how he got where he is at the beginning of ME3. Diyartifact 02:26, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
