This really hasn't been touched on before, I have been sitting on this for a while, and with Mass Effect 3 coming up, I feel that it is now or never. Some of us still remember the old better Monaco skin, bring it back Wikia, sorry, and the Monaco Sidebar. The sidebar was a menu system that gave us a number of links to relevant articles and had more than 28 links. The "new and improved" menu system, which we currently use, limits us to those 28 links. I brought this up with Spart when it initially came out, and he suggested that it be put to the community, and so give or take four months later, I'm finally getting around to it.
So some basic information on the expanded menu. The new menu allows us to have up to 280 links. Ten times more than the current menu system allows. We will be allowed to have multiple links similar to the old sidebar, linked above, and having extra links will be a good idea. Currently I just want to see what the general consensus is among the community and if the community wants to implement this, then we can work on a menu. Lancer1289 20:05, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

Upgrading would be alright with me. -- Commdor (Talk) 20:32, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
Does look better for navigation but is more complxe. Whats the monaco skin? JediSpectre227 22:16, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Monaco was the skin Wikia used before this [redacted] skin. Lancer1289 22:18, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, I'm not sure what we're talking about here. Are we talking about using the menu I've seen on a few other wikis, like the Dragon Age Wiki? I will say that in my view Monaco was not better, and adding more links was never a good solution for navigation. Placing blame for navigation issues on the new skin is woefully misguided. If you want to help navigation on the wiki, we need a whole sale reorganisation and the introduction of Portals. Reintroducing Monaco, or having an up to 280 item menu are the worst ways to help navigation I can think of.JakePT 07:09, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, I went and had a look in the Labs and I see what you mean. I don't oppose turning it on, I just want to make clear that this is a band-aid solution to a far greater issue that this wiki has.JakePT 07:19, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
