Quarian Armor is worn by quarians in Mass Effect. Only light Quarian Armor is seen in-game.
In Bring Down the Sky, Commander Shepard mentions to Simon Atwell that quarian armor is particularly hard to come by. Its rarity is likely due to the fact that quarians rarely leave the Flotilla.

The Light Spectre Armor can only be acquired through console commands.
The quarian version of the armor does not actually have a model and only takes on the appearance of the last worn armor.
