Edan Had'dah

Edan Had'dah was a batarian aristocrat and entrepreneur on Camala. Had'dah was a vain man known for dressing flamboyantly and having a fondness for hanar liquors, but also wielded immense power in batarian society thanks to his wealth and network of contacts.
It was one of Had'dah's scout teams, searching for profitable Prothean technology, who discovered a mysterious artifact near geth space. Had'dah needed the best expert available to unlock its secrets, and was irritated to discover that the man he needed was a human, Dr. Shu Qian. After Dr. Qian began working on the artifact in earnest, Had'ah hired the Blue Suns to attack the Sidon facility and cover up Dr. Qian's defection, and later hired Skarr to find and kill Kahlee Sanders. Had'dah tried to intimidate Skarr, but was shocked by the degree of biotic power the krogan displayed and eventually agreed to a larger payout. When Skarr failed, Had'dah ordered him to destroy the Dah'tan Manufacturing Company, the only remaining link between Had'dah and the events at Sidon. He later sent the krogan to capture Kahlee to help Dr. Qian work on the artifact.
Gradually Had'dah, like Dr. Qian himself, became subtly indoctrinated by the 'artifact' they were studying, devoted to uncovering its secrets at any cost. During the attack on the eezo refinery at Camala, Had'dah and Dr. Qian were faced with Saren Arterius when he and David Anderson arrived. Had'dah claimed that Dr. Qian's obsession had turned him into a liability. After Saren killed Dr. Qian, Had'dah determinedly bargained for his life, saying that if Saren wanted to unlock the secrets of the artifact, he would need Had'dah's help and resources. Otherwise Saren would have to begin the research all over again, delaying the process by years. Saren told Had'dah that he was a patient man who didn't mind waiting, then shot him.
