Alestia Iallis

Alestia is a molecular geneticist who seems much calmer than the other survivors. When Commander Shepard meets Alestia, the asari makes a point of being particularly rude when answering the commander's questions. She claims she was meditating and has been interrupted. Shepard can ask about her job - Alestia gives a technical explanation, and then simplifies it for Shepard's benefit - or about Matriarch Benezia, but Alestia says she does not know Benezia any more than Shepard 'knows' President Huerta of Earth.
Alestia Iallis is voiced by Shanelle Workman.
If Shepard agrees to help Dr. Zev Cohen to develop a cure for the sick scientists, the squad are let into the quarantined lab by one of Captain Ventralis' guards and locked in (they will not be released until they scan clear of the biotoxin). Once Shepard has created the cure, the squad is ambushed by Alestia, who is leading a troop of geth, and murdered the guard outside because he got in her way. Alestia, who turns out to be an asari commando under orders to kill Shepard at the first opportunity, is delighted that the squad is trapped in the lab so she can take them out quietly.
Shepard manages to kill Alestia and speaks to Dr. Cohen, demanding to know if his request for a cure was a setup, but Cohen had no idea Alestia was a commando. He says she was recently transferred to Peak 15 at the behest of an investor, Saren Arterius.
