Administrator Anoleis

Shepard is advised to speak to Anoleis by his secretary, Gianna Parasini. Unfortunately for Shephard, Anoleis is an officious bureaucrat, who refuses to cooperate, despite Shepard's Spectre status. Anoleis is more interested in trying to protect investor interests than assisting Shepard's investigation, and stonewalls any questions about Matriarch Benezia.
After Shepard gives up on trying to convince him, Parasini tells the commander to speak to a turian, Lorik Qui'in, who is relaxing in the hotel bar. According to Qui'in, Anoleis has recently gained direct control of lab rents, receiving bribes and earning the ire of the local companies. Anoleis is attempting to conceal his actions by accusing Qui'in of corruption, and has paid certain members of Hanshan's Elanus Risk Control security forces under-the-table to ransack Qui'in's offices at Synthetic Insights, where the turian is storing the evidence of Anoleis' corruption on his personal computer.
Shepard can pursue several approaches to Anoleis or Qui'in, in order to acquire a garage pass:
- Help Anoleis. Shepard can tell Anoleis that Lorik Qui'in asked for help. Anoleis asks the Commander to go to the Synthetic Insights office to pass on files that will help his 'investigation' into Qui'in, in exchange for a garage pass.
- Report Opold. If Shepard has agreed to help the hanar Opold as part of the Noveria: Smuggling assignment, the Commander can report Opold's activities to Anoleis. In exchange for the package, Anoleis will give Shepard a garage pass. Note that one can still help Anoleis or Qui'in after doing this.
- Help Qui'in. Shepard can assist Qui'in - and later Parasini, who is actually an undercover Internal Affairs investigator - in getting Anoleis arrested by retrieving Qui'in's files. Parasini will then reveal her undercover status, and ask Shepard to convince Qui'in to testify. The player can approach Qui'in in two different ways: One is to give him the evidence and accept his reward, which is 500 credits or 750 when you use Charm, although no points for Paragon or Renegade. The other is convincing him to testify, also using Charm, giving you 24 Paragon points. After this, the player can confront Anoleis or Parasini in multiple ways:
- Paragon route. If Shepard convinces Qui'in, and tells Parasini first, in order to get a pass from her, the Commander is treated to the sight of Anoleis being dragged off, shouting for Shepard to arrest Parasini. Later, on the Citadel, Shepard hears a news report of Anoleis' sentencing for corruption. This earns a reward of 8 Paragon points.
- First Renegade route. Shepard can tip off Anoleis that Parasini is going to arrest him. Parasini will go into his office and Shepard will hear the sound of gunfire. Entering the office, Shepard will find both Anoleis and Parasini dead, and can loot a garage pass from one of the bodies, earning 25 Renegade points.
- Second Renegade route.Shepard can also tell Anoleis about the evidence he has found, and ask him to pay for it. Anoleis will offer him a garage pass, in addition to a compensation of 7400 credits, which is what he would normally pay a private investigator. Accepting this offer will also give the player 9 Renegade points.
- Combined route. It is possible to exploit both Anoleis and Parasini with the acquired evidence. If you let Anoleis know about the evidence and ask him for payment, there is a Charm option to tell Anoleis you want to keep the evidence. He will then give you a garage pass 'as a gesture of goodwill', and ask you to leave him alone. This also earns you 9 Renegade points, but no credits. At this point, you can backstab Anoleis by giving the evidence to Parasini, who will then arrest him and provide you with 8 Paragon points. This route gives you the highest amount of experience points possible.
