Would of loved to have a Baterian companion and a decent baterian and human resolution in ME3
Would of loved to have a Baterian companion and a decent baterian and human resolution in ME3
I've also said it before and I'll say it again: Bayak as a squadmate in ME3 after a few appearances in ME2 would have added more depth and dynamicity (is than even a word?) to the roster.
I would have swapped Jacob for a pet varren - or assigned Jacob to janitor duty for it - but I liked James. Balak is lucky I needed every able-body to fight the Reapers, otherwise I would have probably shot him in the back of the head.
Maybe you did sacrifice the hostages back then on the asteroid and missed to kill Balak, or leave him wounded and simply forgot^^.
Actually this is a possibility too. You can leave him wounded at the mercy of the engineers, who will hand him over to Alliance Authorities and .... tada he will escape custody, of course.
As primitive and sometimes not as representative as his rank would demand as James is, he truly is a very capable combat unit. Give him a plasma rifle and combine it with his incendiary ammo.... lay back anf enjoy the show.
On the contrary, I really find it annoying that he got a absolute remarkable body/face actor, although all he lorewise did was forcing the Cerberus Shuttle to land on Mars (as TIM surely knew they needed the Cipher and the Crucible at some point Shepard would've gotten the Info anyway somehow).
While Samantha is rewarded with a totally generic, good looking but still generic, face, although her impact on the lore is quite more essential (Horizon, N7 missions, Herberus HQ if Miranda is dead, etc).
In the next Andromeda game or next mass effect game I would like to see female versions of batarians, drell, vorcha, hanar, and elcor. Have either of them as companions
And also children
Yea they only had that one kid in the beginning of Mass Effect 3, unfortunately he died.
Quarian male as a companion or Angaraian female.
Trade Jacob for Bray!
I've been looking for someone to mention the Batarians and I have to say thank you. The Batarians are my favorite ME race because they come off as the most interesting species in the trilogy. A once dominant empire that went into a slow decline before being invaded by Human colonists. I think a Batarian companion would have been perfect and hell they already had a character from the games that could have been used. That's right I'm talking about Balak. When we meet Balak again in ME3 its one of the most lame things I've experienced. You go around pressing a button 3 times and then bam there's Balak who you can either kill or have join you and that's it. After that the Batarians are completely dropped from the game other then a single go and get this mission. Meeting Balak again could have been so much more interesting. I've always thought that we could have met him on Khar'Shan if you scan the system its in by picking up a emergency signal. We could have landed on Khar'Shan and seen it for the first time. How we meet Balak could differ by either killing him or rescuing him. But if we do rescue him then he could begrudgingly join your squad on the grounds that if the Batarians are to survive then Shepard and Balak need to work together. And as the game goes on he could reveal Batarians secrets and battle plans that could help in the war effort while slowly warming to Shepard. In the end I think ME3 completely wasted the potential of the Batarians as a candidate for a companion and the potential to give them a bigger role then what they had in the last two games.
I want Urz the varren as companion
